Stories
The Language of This Foreign Country by [info]ignipes (First Runner-Up, Best Sam Gen)
Rating: Teen
Disclaimer: Oh, I wish they were mine, but they aren't.
Warnings: An abundance of ducks
Notes: Minor spoilers for "Something Wicked."
Summary: Sam has a list in his head. It's a dictionary or a phrasebook, something you can keep in your pocket and pull out whenever necessary: Translation Guide For People Who Spend Every Waking Hour With People Who Never Say What They Mean.

Atonement by [info]halfshellvenus (First Runner-Up, Best Episode-Based)
Rating: PG
Spoilers: Asylum

read by [info]northface11

Parts of Speech by [info]mona1347 (Winner, Best Dean Gen)
Rating: A for Angst. No sex (sorry), some language. Dean gen-fic basically (WTF is up with all the GEN I'm writing lately? Returning to my roots? Nostalgia?)
Warnings/Spoilers: None. Pre-series.

read by [info]mona1347

Tiny A’s All in a Row by [info]jwynn (Second Runner-Up, Best Dean Gen)
Disclaimer: I don't own Dean or Sam; Eric Kripke does along with a whole hell of a lot of big corporations.
Spoilers: Up to Nightmares.
Summary: When it comes for Dean, he's not ready.
AN: Um, yeah, so here it is. My love letter to Dean, I suppose. Enjoy, or not, it's short and choppy and all in the present even though it bounces back and forth to the past, so, remember, feedback is a wonderful and much appreciated thing.

Credits

Firstly, thank you to the Lawrence Awards team for organising and running the Lawrence Awards. Without them, this edition would not be possible.

Thanks also to [info]mona1347 for taking the initiative without any prompting and trying her hand at the wackiness that is trying to organise submissions! The supplementary podcast would not exist without her.

Thank you to all the readers who volunteered to record pieces; thanks especially to those who I wasn’t able to fit in this edition - I really, really appreciate your hard work and hope to make good use of your material in future.

Thanks again to [info]nebulein for the great layout and banners.

And THANK YOU to the listeners and feedbackers who have been enthusiastic and encouraging about this project all along the way. This really wouldn’t exist at all without an audience.

Editor’s note: Hopefully the volume is okay in this edition. I’m still an amateur when it comes to the technical side of this, so please forgive me if my learning curve is causing you distress of the aural kind, heh! Also apologies for my spaced-out-and-congested voice. Of course, I develop a bad cold when it’s time to interview/record!

Any questions or comments are welcome at all times, via lj comment or email: evp.podcast@gmail.com

Downloaded it.

Armed with a box of munchkins, my MP3 player and my EVP Edition 3 audio, I bravely walked home from the bus stop.

Needless to say, I was sorta kinda surprised to see that I was already at my house. Time just literally flew. I wish the podcast could go on forever and ever.

Good job.

Hey. Finally got a chance to listen to the main 'cast yesterday (just d/l-ed the supplement this morning).

Awesome, awesome, awesome as usual! I've only listened once through to this show, so these are just impressions (i.e. take them with a grain of salt). Your intros are always so very well done. Clear, succinct, great! The interview with Barb was terrific and a great addition to the format. Loved it! The second reader didn't introduce the story (if I recall correctly, I may be wrong) but since I was out running with the nano I couldn't look to see what it was and I didn't recognize marinarusalka's fic right off the bat. The song interludes are also great, v.v. fun to use the vid songs. Clever! Finally, I had no prob with the volume on my nano, but when I played it on my laptop I had to crank it all the way up to 11 and even then it was quiet.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy this concept and how amazingly you have executed it. I was anticipating it all week and all three times it has just given me so much glee! Fabulous!!! &hearts' times a million to the authors, to the readers, to Mona, and especially to you!

That was a really great edition. You are getting really good at this, really fast.

I have to say I enjoyed most (after the fic *S*) the interview. That was absolutely awesome, hearing the writer speak about her inspiration, writing process, and continued awe at how much her work is appreciated.
