This community is a gen community for fanfiction for Supernatural focused on the Winchesters interacting with 'the law'. This includes stories focused on their interaction with the known law characters in the show, such as Henricksen. Crossovers are welcome and encouraged, e.g. with Numb3rs, NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI, etc.
The law includes: cops, FBI, lawyers, profilers...
This community is gen only. No NC-17 rated fiction will be allowed. The restriction on NC-17 includes if one part in a series is rated NC-17.
What does this mean?
This means that stories where the focus is gen, but there is a het subplot, are not allowed.
However, mention of previous relationships is allowed, or vague references to having a night with some one. One throwaway line about a relationship is fine. Original characters etc. are allowed to have relationships of course, as long as they are not discussed/described in great detail/the focus in the story. Your secondary characters are allowed to be heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual -- whatever you chose. e.g.
Fine:
Sam is being questioned by a cop about Jess. Sam talks about Jess.
Dean goes looking for some action in the bar and doesn't come home that night. He may gloat to Sam in the morning. As long as nothing goes into detail here, this is fine (i.e. they are essentially throwaway lines detailing some of Dean's characerisation).
Not fine:
Sam is being questioned by a cop about Jess. Flashbacks are shown of Sam's interaction with Jess.
A description of the time Dean spends in the bar looking for someone, unless this is related to a case.
If a series does not have interaction with the law in all parts, but overall a lot of interaction with the law, please still post. Please make sure you warn for spoilers (and post spoilery summaries behind cuts, warning for the spoilers), in a way that does not give the spoilers away. Before an episode has aired in the US, that includes episode titles.
If you are posting stories in parts, please put links to the previous parts in your current entry. If fic is posted directly to the comm, please place behind a LJ cut. Information on using LJ cuts can be found in LJ's help section. Please also add the appropriate tags -- if you need an author tag, it will be added after you post, and if you need other tags, please ask in this post.
