Welcome to the future home of
spn_resource! We're not open yet, but we are looking for some people to help us get started. This is our "help wanted" sign in the window, so check it out and please, please send us your application!
Position: spn_resource section team leader
Community description:
spn_resource is a group of Supernatural Geeks who hope to contribute to the fandom through their geekery. Moderators are
namegoeshere,
clex_monkie89 and
fiddleyoumust. Members will contribute research, notes, and general advice within seven sections:
Monsters, Folklore & Myths, Meta, Writing, Locations, Religion, and Miscellaneous.
Job description: We are looking for
four section team leaders, each of whom will be responsible for their assigned section on an assigned day of the week. Each contributor will be responsible for making sure that a post is made on their section on the assigned day. The available sections are: Monsters, Folklore & Myths, Meta and Writing.
Job requirements: I'd be lying if I said this was going to be easy; it won't be. Applicants should be responsible people, skilled writers, have enough time to devote to the project, and be able to lead and direct other people. Although this will (especially initally) require a lot of time and patience, I suspect that we're going to have a criminal amount of fun, so don't let these requirements scare you off too much.
Time frame:
spn_resource is expected to go live sometime in late July.
Application process: If you are interested in helping us out, please e-mail spnresource[@]gmail[.]com with the following application:
Please include with your application two writing samples, one for your each of your
top two choices.
- For Meta: 400-500 words of meta on a subject of your choice, or a link to a previous written meta article.
- For Writing: A 400-500 word article on any topic related to writing, whether it be characterisation, grammar, plotting, or anything else.
- For Monsters: Two 200-250 word write-ups about two different creatures, with a few relevant links on each critter.
- For Folklore & Myths: 500 words on the folklore or myth of your choice.
