Welcome to spn_het_love – a Supernatural challenge community for het fiction. Whether you’re an old hand at writing het for the fandom or you primarily play in other genres, we hope you’ll join us for a challenge or two.

And challenges we’ve got – whether it’s a series of drabbles based on a song lyric or longer pieces, we’re doing our best to keep the challenges varied and flexible. Although we’ll be posting challenges on a schedule, there’s no time limit as to when you can complete them. The best part? If you come up with a cool challenge that you don’t see on the upcoming schedule, let us know! We’re always going to need new challenge ideas.

Can’t participate in a challenge but still want to help out? That’s not a problem. We’ll be setting up some areas for fanfiction resources as well as beta requests. And, if you’re interested in helping out as one of the moderators, shoot us an e-mail at spnhetlove@gmail.com.


The Rules:

1. Be excellent to each other. Seriously. The fandom has lots of different folks writing different things and we like it that way. This community isn’t a forum for any type of debate on the merits of one genre over another. We’re just here to have fun.

2. All posts will be moderated and should be limited to challenge responses. We will have several housekeeping posts set up for questions, writing resources we’ve found helpful, suggestions for upcoming challenges, suggested challenges from community members and requests for a beta. If there’s something missing from that list, the moderators are here to help!

3. All posts should be clearly marked with the challenge you are responding to, rating, pairing, potential spoilers and any adult content (such as winsister fic) that requires a warning. If you’re uncertain about whether or not your story needs a warning, err on the side of caution or contact the moderators for assistance.

4. This community is set to the "Adult Concept" filter as a default. All NC-17 challenge responses should be marked with the “Explicit Adult Content” filter. By that same token, if you post something that is rated PG-13 or below, you will need to use the “No Adult Content” filter when posting your challenge response to bypass the default setting for the community. We’ll leave it to your discretion with R-rated fics regarding the "Explicit Adult Content" filter, some being more explicit than others.

5. That whole having fun thing? We meant it.
