| About: | The original Fandom Appreciation Challenge was created by ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} china_shop as a multi-fandom challenge designed to encourage fandom participation. It runs for a week, once or twice a year, with daily individual challenges that run for 24 hours. If you're interested in being involved in the original challenge, head over to china_shop's journal.This community is specifically for a Supernatural Fandom Appreciation Challenge. The goal is to encourage people to become more active within the fandom and more adventurous in their consumption of fannish products. The challenge is inclusive of both Supernatural and its RPS fandom and stories, vids, art etc. will all be included in the feedback challenges. How it will work: The challenge will run for one week every three months. That should give people plenty of time to find new (or old) stories to read and vids to watch. In each challenge week, there will be daily individual challenges that run for 24 hours. An example of a daily challenge might be 'send feedback for three stories that are more than six months old' or 'send feedback to 3 vidders/artists'. When each challenge is completed, participants will come back to the community and click the ticky box. The Fandom Appreciation Challenge is a points-based challenge: - for each Day Challenge completed within the allotted time, you get 10 points. - if you don't complete a Day Challenge on time, but you still do it within the Challenge Week, you get 5 points. The total possible number of points is 70. At the end of each challenge week, a list of participants and their scores will be posted. The points system isn't about making this a competition. It's a way for challenge participants to track their progress through the challenges, and maybe give some incentive for improvement, so please don't be deterred by the points. Community members do not have to participate in every weekly challenge, but if you do decide to take part in a challenge week, please make every effort you can to complete the daily challenges. People are busy, everyone gets that, just participate when and how often you can. Think of all the undiscovered stories, vids and art!
