| Mar. 22nd, 2005 @ 11:18 am MOTHERLAND RELEASED!!! | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Motherland has officially been released. Get it here. $15 + Shipping (which is like $2). You can also get shirts, there's a poster, a bumper sticker, and a mousepad. We're also doing a remix contest for 9 Grams. If you want to listen to the song, please go to our Soundclick Page. If you want to remix it, send me an email at DoktorVivi@gmail.com and I'll send a remix package your way. Winners get on the 9 Grams single which will be released in the next month or so. In other news, we'll be releasing a 'preview' album of the work we'll be doing on later albums, called The Five Year Plan. It will contain a few b-sides and remixes not available on other albums. More on this when we start working on it. |

| Mar. 15th, 2005 @ 01:04 pm Update on the status of Bleeding Black | |||
|---|---|---|---|
_current_mood::
3/15:_current_music:: Beguile - "Immactulate Deception" - Diablos Eternous Spectru Hails, here's the deal, Bleeding Black is still alive and writing music, but we have decided that we have taken too much on at one time with the ep, trying to get the rest of the band together and other outside situations. Therefore we have decided to wait until the timing is perfect and we were 100% satisfied with the final product. We are hoping to have songs available soon on MySpace.com or GarageBand.com that everyone will be able to hear. We will occasionally post new stuff on the front page so check in often. For those of you who have supported the demon known as Bleeding Black, thank you, please check back and spread the word. |

| Mar. 9th, 2005 @ 10:14 am Uncomfortable Records | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Ok, we've sent the Master CD to Cafepress. We'll give an announcement once they receive it and you can start ordering. It's take us about 16 months to get to this point, due to procrastination, writing songs for about 6 different albums all at once, social developments (Ian getting married), jobs, and college. These last 4 months have been the most hectic, with basically the entire second half of the album being completed, and the first half being completely revised. We promise it won't take this long next time. We're much better on focusing on an album now, so Scars of the Long Winter might make a Holiday 2005 release, even with the release of the 9 Grams Single in the next month or so. But for now, we're just kicking back and relaxing...... .. right. We just made it onto an untitled comp by Uncomfortable Records. and are participating in a big Harsh Powernoise battle at Soundclick (contest to get on another comp). We'll be making about 3 new songs for it. Expect more developments soon. |

Ok, we're currently in a flurry of activity. Just finished doing up the paperwork for the EARS comp and am sending it off tomorrow. I'm also going to be burning 10 demos for various labels. We'll also be sending out the full CD to Cafepress so they can start making the official CDs. I just applied to a 4th comp, by Uncomfortable Records (a small indie) with AAK. Also, all of the artwork is finished, and looks freakin great. Ian's also written up a press statement on the album.And last but not least, I just discovered a problem in the way we've been recording our songs. I know nearly nothing about waveforms so it took me a while to wade through the jargon, but I believe I've figured it out. Turns out that recording the songs too loud actually cuts part of the song out (anything about 20db and below -30db or something like that), and that leads to 'clipping' a very bad thing. So I have to go back and record the entire album AGAIN at a lower volume. Bleh. But anyway, we're very excited here. |

_current_music:: Kalishnikov - Chornobyl
We're officially on the E.A.R.S. comp. Tentative title (which I like) of "Whirlstream." It's a dutch variant of Maelstrom. Really like the name.Here's the comps that we know we'll be on this year: E.A.R.S. - Whirlstream - "Hundred Flowers (Instrumental Version)" BLC Music - Interbreeding V: Terrorland - "Pravda (The Truth is a Dream Remix)" Roilnoise - R.I.N.O. - "Assault Assassination Kommittee (Insurgent Remix) by Subcomandante Insurgente" |

| Feb. 16th, 2005 @ 04:47 pm Sorry about the delay... | |||

_current_music:: Kalishnikov - VERY VERY LOUD!
It's been a week since my last update, and I wanted to explain why Motherland isn't out yet. We were all ready and rarin' to go, but then we suddenly realized that we couldn't include Pravda (The Truth is a Dream Remix) on Motherland. Because it's being offered EXCLUSIVELY on Interbreeding V: Terrorland (or at least until the comp has sold out). And we want another remix on the album, so what to do?Well don't fear. Motherland should be ready within the week. I didn't want to update until now, because I only just got the new remix done; Steampowered (Ironcore Remix). It's good. Very good. We're going to finish up our mastering within the next few days, and then Motherland will be released by Cafepress. There are also plans to do a few signed Limited Edition copies. And then we'll have a remix contest for 9 Grams. |

_current_music:: Dave Chappelle Bleeding Black got good news the other from a repersentative (Damian) from Metal Side Webzine. He has requested a promo copy of the EP (still under reconstruction) to review for his Death Metal page. Metal Side has done over 400 reviews and about 200 interviews. They have reviewed and interviewed such bands as Vital Remains, Deadspeak (cheyenne), The Mandrake (ft. collins), Impaled, Suffocation, Coffin Texts, Infamy, Waco Jesus, Evil Incarnate, The Dying Light, Aurora Borealis, Drawn and Quartered,

PS - Please visit them at Metal Side Webzine . Yes this was an edit of previously reported info, this time it is accurate and to the point. Sorry for the mistake. |

The title says it all. I have just finished the synths on the last song to be completed for Motherland; 9 Grams. | Jan. 19th, 2005 @ 12:19 am Bleeding Black Update | |||
|---|---|---|---|
_current_mood::
For those of you who don't know. Bleeding Black has decided to go back and rework some of our songs and take our time on newer ones. SO, this has delayed the release date for the EP. We came upon this decision when we were less than happy with the outcome of our old songs. We want more and expect more from ourselves and we hope to have something for everyone to listen to soon. We are working on it we promise. We are also still working on the cover as well. There will be fewer updates on the site. Only the important news will be reported, until the release of the EP. That is all for now._current_music:: Family Guy Hails |

I just succumbed to apoplexy. Really. I was close to hyperventilating.Know why? *HUGE GRIN* Kalishnikov is going to be on Interbreeding V: Terrorland, distributed by BLC Music. This is a large, worldwide comp. Metropolis Records sells it. Amazon.com sells it. In the past it has gotten extremely good reviews. It has been on the Metropolis Records Top 10 selling albums...TWICE. And Metropolis Records is the largest industrial label. The song that will be on it: Pravda (The Truth is a Dream Remix) Have a really good day everyone! I'm probably not going to sleep. |

About damn time we updated again. Ok, we have been having alot going on in the BLEEDING BLACK camp. First of we have the guitars and bass recorded and getting cleaned up. We should have the drums recorded soon and then finally the vocals. We are very excited by this fact. Also, THE WHORE is no long going to be on the EP. Instead it will be a two song EP or it will have "WHEN YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES IS IT HELL YOU SEE" as the third and final track, depending on if we can get everything recorded and done on time. Next, the cover for the Demonic Genocide EP is almost done and the cover art should appear pretty soon on this site. The cover are was done by CALIGAR and the logo was done by yours truely. We are very excited were everything is going and we hope to have the EP out by the end of January or the begining of Febuary, again depending on alot of different things. Once again the EP will be free to all and we will send it virtually anywhere for free! No charge to you at all. We will only have about 200 copies available and as soon as those are gone we will have no more and you will have to wait for the full length. _current_music:: God Forbid - "Anti-hero" - Gone Forever Hails |
