Please follow these simple rules. Anyone who cannot follow the rules will be banned from the community. I subscribe to the three-strikes policy for rule violations: on first violation, you will be reminded of the pertinent rule; on second violation, you will be warned; and a third violation warrants a ban from the community.

1. Your first step is to join the community, so you can participate in the challenges. To enter icons in a challenge, you must be a community member. If you aren't a member and submit icons, your icons will be disqualified.
2. Entries must meet LiveJournal's size and type requirements for icons: 100 x 100 (or smaller); under 40KB; GIF, JPEG or PNG format.
3. No animation. That's the main point in stillness. Animated icons will be disqualified.
4. Entries will be anonymous until after the voting.
5. Please do not post your icons anywhere else, including your own journal, until after the challenge has ended.
6. Entries should be submitted in a comment to the challenge post.
7. Don't vote for your own icons, and don't ask others to vote for your icons either.
8. Please do not take any of the contest icons without the icon maker's express permission. Should you wish to use a particular icon, leave a comment in the voting post and I will let the artist know. If you receive permission, be sure to credit the maker of the icon on your icon page.
