AboutThis is a community for fanfiction and essays concerning Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle novels -- A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels thus far, with a third upcoming.
Anything is welcome here -- gen, any pairing, or non-fiction in the form of character essays, analyses, and other meta. For fiction, any length and rating are allowed, but anything longer than 100 words should go behind a cut tag.
For fic, we ask that you include the following header:

Rating: Whatever rating scale you typically use.
Notes: Including pairing(s), if applicable, warnings, and anything else you think needs to be said before going in.
Disclaimer: Libba Bray is on lj, guys, and while she seems really cool, lots of authors have taken exception to their work being used in the past (Anne Rice being the most notorious example, but there are certainly others). Let's let her know that we are well aware of the fact that these are her characters and we're just borrowing them.

Additionally -- yes. Libba Bray is on lj. She isn't hard to find, either. Anyone who comments to her recommending the community to her will be pimpslapped to heck and back. It's not that she's not cool and doesn't seem like she'd mind, it's simply that in general, the first rule of fight club is very much in effect with regards to the powers that be, and often, when you bring something directly to the attention of the powers that be, they are obligated to do something about it. Co-existing in the same space the original creator hangs out in will be an interesting experiment, so let's see if we can make it work without begging her to do something about us, shall we?
