INTRODUCTION |
Come on, you all know we were going to end up here, anyway. This is just speeding up the process. This community is a Live-Journal based crack roleplay based on the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. Born mostly in the comments pages on currahee_stamp, a small group of we shameless fangirls realized we began, without thinking, to start commenting, en masse, in a character's personality, making certain exchanges seem more like crackstastic RP sessions, some of which we cut short reluctantly, but which had promise. Note that I said "character". Yes, indeed, we are drawing a very thick line with this community between the actual men portrayed, and the characters presented in the miniseries. This is not intended to be an RPS RP in the least. In fact, a good deal of the characterization we inject may even seem out of place for the characters themselves, as seen on TV. INTERACTION |
No need to make a separate journal (my, those things are hard to keep up with, aren't they??), but it would be nice if you're a player to have a special icon designated to your SHHQ (see, that's our acronym that I made up, just now) character that you will use in your posts and replies (full post format rules can be found here). That way it will be easier to determine the user/character match until we get a handle on who's who. This is an at-will RPG, meaning that schedules are not something to worry about. Reply when you can, as much or as little as you want. We don't expect ANYONE to be around constantly - this is a laid back RP, at the end of the day. All posts made must be friends-locked. We don't want to get any unnecessary flames, but just in case, minimum settings on the community have been set to lock posts. If you want in just to keep an eye on how things go around here, feel free to join the community. But you've been warned ahead of time...this may get strange, hilarious, and absolutely cracktacular. We also strongly urge you, once "getting your feet wet" so to speak in the SHHQ arena, to join the OCC community, easy_cp! |

This RPG has been likened to a drug addiction by many. Several unsolicited testimonies have confirmed this. Remember: take it Easy! Easy does it! And various other puns that are also applicable! But yeah...don't expect this to just be a "passing interest"...this place is a giant black hole of crack. We love it, and we hope you will too...but be careful not to let it consume your brain. That isn't our intention. (or is it...!??!) |
