AboutIn the year 2020, five teenagers are called upon to fight alien forces and protect the Earth. Expect conflicts of personalities, new Zords, and special abilities as they fight to become an effective team and defeat Emperor Gruumm.
This community was set up to be a focal point for the SPD fans to discuss episodes, characters, fic, art, websites and to let the fandom as a whole grow closer and bring the discussion into one place. It requires participation which is the one thing I want to encourage above all else whether it be an in-depth character question that inspires debate or feedback for fic and icons or simply links to fics, icons, or discussions in other places that need to be shared with the community.
Rules:
1. Respect and courtesy for other posters and opinions is a must. As a side note, I would love if people could keep the netspeak to a minimum (“U” and “R” is one of the few things that makes us crazy). If you post fic, please make sure you’ve spell-checked it and made sure the grammar is okay so we can give feedback on the other issues. As for feedback, please stick to constructive criticism – this is not the place for flames.
2. Please lj-cut fic, icons, episode reviews (longer than a few lines), spoilers, and spoilery discussion. For fic, you’re welcome to use a header with the title, character/pairing, genre, rating, and summary, but the rest of the fic needs to be under an lj-cut so it doesn’t take up too much space on people’s flists. Icons can make them slow to load as well, and lots of people don’t like spoilers so respect their decision to stay spoiler-free.
3. Spoiler Policy: The basic spoiler rule is to lj-cut spoilers and spoilery discussion, but we've had a number of issues crop up in recent weeks so it's time to clarify the rules for the community at large.
A. Aired promos don't count as spoilers (they air incredibly often on both Toon Disney and ABC Family - just for the marathons alone, they air around every half hour).
B. Please LJ-cut your thoughts about episodes for the first 24 hours after the ABC Family airing. This gives people the chance to watch the episode in a fairly timely manner. For example, it airs at 5:30 AM for me so I rarely get the chance to watch it before 10 or 11 AM.
C. Even the episode titles count as spoilers so please LJ-cut them as well as any speculation on the episode titles.
4. No posting of NC-17 fic within the community, but you may post a link to it. Since we’re not regulating the ages, we can’t have anything too questionable within the community itself. Please make sure you put the appropriate warnings in the entry with the link.
