| About: | This is a community where people can put in their two cents about making Mary Doria Russell's acclaimed novel The Sparrow into a motion picture. It should be noted that the book, story, and characters all are her rightful property, and the Universal (as of 1999) has bought the movie rights, but nothing has really happened yet. The only prerequisite for joining is that you have read the book, for obvious reasons. No abuse of any kind will be tolerated. Members may post casting ideas, or even adapt sections of the book into screenplay format, although lengthier posts as this should be behind a cut or link to another page.
