About Welcome to Sparrabeth_Sea, the Sparrabeth Fanfiction Awards LJ Community!
1. This is a community only for Sparrabeth fanfiction. Fics with other pairings are fine as long as the fic includes a decent amount of Sparrabeth content (more than implied, please!)
2. All types of fics are welcomed: oneshots, songfics, multi-chaptered etc.
3. All ratings are accepted, but you must state the rating in the nomination form.
4. The Sparrabeth Award winners will be announced at the end of the voting and nomination period. I will post a notice on the LJ when nominations open (which will last for two weeks) and when the voting session opens (which will also last two weeks). Winners will be announced on the homepage and sent an email informing them of their win.
5. It is prefered, but not a requirement, that you be a member of this community to vote/nominate.
6. Nominations *must* be in the format posted below to be considered - thanks.
7. For a category to be cleared for voting, it must have a minimum of three (3) nominations (the maximum being eight (8)). If there are not enough categories or nominations to run the awards, I will extend the nomination or voting period for a stated amount of time to get more noms or votes.
8. If an author is nominated but does not wish to take part in the awards, please let us know and we will omit your stories from the contest and notify the nominators of your wish. Also, we will list your name here if you do not wish to be included.
Rules for Nominations
A. To nominate a story, post a comment on the relevent post using the following format:
Title:
Author:
Category:
Rating:
Story Link:
Author Profile Link:
Author's e-mail:
B. You can nominate as many stories as you like. However, you can only nominate a single (particular) story for two (2) categories per voting round.
C. Please nominate a story for the correct category! If a story is not entered in the correct category, it will be omitted from voting. You will recieve a notice if it is placed in the wrong category so you may resubmit if you wish.
D. You can nominate yourself, but someone must second your nomination for it to be considered - a simple comment from the person who is "seconding" you will do.
E. A story may not be nominated for a category it has already won for. However, if it lost the category in a previous round, you may nominate it until it wins or until Jack finds the fountain of youth. ;)
F. Any author may be nominated for any amount of categories only you nominate different stories, and no story is nominated for more than two categories per round.
Rules for Voting
A. Once the nomination period has ended, all categories that have the minimum of three nominations will run for voting.
B. You may only vote once per category. Votes are screened for privacy.
C. Please use the following format when casting your vote:

Author:
D. No spamming! If you do spam, you will be banned from the community.
Information about Winning
A. Awards for First Place will be given out in each category.
B. Winners will be announced in a post at the end of the voting period. In the case of a tie, both fics wil be considered "Tied for First Place".
C. Winners and their banners will be posted for winning authors to pick up. Please comment and let us know you got your banner. :)
