Well, since seven people voted for me to do this, I have the first chapter of what I'm calling Twilight!Footie!verse all typed up. It's nothing special, nothing much, but it's the first chapter. So, here goes nothing.

Title: Twilight!Footie!verse
Explanation: It's Twilight with footballers/soccer players essentially. The main characters have become world-class footballers. It's the same story, but with different names and slightly different personalities. :)
Rating: I have no idea, but I'll go with PG-13 for now. To be safe. There may be some swearing later on is all.
Summary: If you've read Twilight, it's the exact same thing. EXACT. I'm taking the basic plot and making it slightly less camp-y and a bit more "readable", at least for those of us who happen to be grammar nerds. So yeah, human girl moves to small town and falls in love with a vampire boy. =D
Disclaimer: PLEASE READ THIS. IT IS IMPORTANT. I own none of these characters. The prototypes are based off of Stephenie Meyer's creations, and even though they have different names, most of the personality quirks are the same. And as for the guys...no, I don't own them or their names. Unfortunately. I am not writing this to make fun of anything or anyone. I truly enjoyed reading the book, it was good fun. Campy, and cheesy, but fun. I'm just "re-writing" it, as it were. I am not seeking any kind of monetary gain or anything like that, just have a little fun and write something involving people I like and admire. NO HARM IS INTENDED. The writing itself however, is mine, even the dialog. No copy-paste for me, so if you DO decide to quote this, please credit me. Or something. Hey, everyone. I don't normally do this kind of stuff, but, I'm uh...kinda addicted. So, I read Twilight in the course of a day (I'm a fast reader, what can I say) and decided it was AU fanfic that needed to be "fixed". I plan on removing a lot of the cheesy dialog and superfluous adjectives, expanding/adding to the plot, and improving the grammar (split infinitives are so not okay). I would do this with footballers, because I'm totally into football/soccer right now (I have no life) and...I've been totally dead on prompts. I've wanted to write something for awhile that wasn't just a short story, and NaNo isn't going well for me at all right now (I lost all desire for it before I'd even begun, woe). I think I could actually do this, and oddly (and fearfully) enough, I'm excited.

Currently, my Edward is either Víctor Valdés [two links] or Fernando Llorente [two links]. I'm leaning more towards Víctor because he has that extremely strong jaw/chiseled features.

All the men in Twilight will be replaced by footballers, and at the moment the entire "Cullen" family is going to be Spanish. [I can't help the fact that I'm insanely attracted to Spaniards. Kind of always have been...] Members of the Spanish NT are looking really good right now, short of VV, who isn't on the Spanish NT. The women will probably stay the same (Which means, yes, Bella will still be Bella, though perhaps with a different surname, depending on what I decide to do with Charlie.), but the whole point of this is to make it AU fanfic. I'm calling it Twilight!Footie!verse right now, and will probably keep that title as long as I can, to differentiate.

So. Who supports me in my endeavor, should I choose to take it on?

Disclaimer: I OWN NO ONE. As much as I might like to. I also apologize in advance from inaccuracies due to the whole birthing process. I wish I'd been able to do my research, but I was in a hurry to get this thing written and posted (though it did take me a good three days to actually get the thing written!). So I apologize if anything's off at all, which I'm sure it is, I just...don't want to be held accountable for it. It's not like there's no way I can fix it; it's not THAT key to the plot, I guess... I APOLOGIZE FOR INACCURACIES IN THE HOSPITAL SCENE. I realized AFTER I wrote it how improbable that the situation would happen and one day I WILL get around to fixing it. Promise.
Other notes: The story is told from Xavi's perspective. I decided to get a little creative and get inside the mind of a guy who's just been told his girlfriend's pregnant. One of two things can happen, and I chose the less "mean" one, I suppose. xD This version IS in Spanish, but I will get the English version posted soon. :) I like the other fic better though.

Hey, everyone. :) I don't normally do this, but that's mostly because I rarely have anything like this worth uploading. o_______O One day I'll have awesome resources, but that day is not here because I am a poor college student in the USA who has no very little life whatsoever.

But I thought that everyone should be able to enjoy these because they're of the Spanish National Team. What's not to enjoy? =D

These are all from .pdf documents I downloaded of the Marca, a Spanish sports periodical, issues published during this year's Eurocup. I had not seen a lot of the pictures featured in here before, and most of the articles are exclusives. I've only uploaded the pages/pictures I thought interesting. I only uploaded pages regarding Euros, so there's no Spanish football news or crap on whether Cristiano was actually going to go to Real Madrid or not (Madrid was HIGHLY convinced he was going, which made me LOL immensely).

I have not included any translations, and if you would like an article translated, please tell me in the comments. ONE PER PERSON PLEASE. I'll try to figure out a way to post the translation without making this post longer than it has to be (read: longer than LJ will allow).

Credit is not required because I didn't actually scan these.

ALSO. If you have, or know anyone who has, the issues from the 11th and (THANK YOU, serenella!!!) 14th of June or know where to get them, I will love you forever and ever and ever. I can't buy them from the Marca site because I'm not Spanish and don't have a Spanish ID number, and the site where I got the others didn't have these two. Rating: G - minor swearing in Spanish, but since Spaniards don't care about swearing, it's G.

Summary: It's been a rough start of the season, and Xavi's taking it personally. But there is one person who still believes in him.
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone except Iniesta's girlfriend, who's un-named. I know he has one, and I can't remember if I saw her name somewhere or not. o___O Because I don't know any of the detail's of Xavi's relationship with Elsa, this version of her is completely mine.
Other notes: I read in an interview from 2005 that he has a girlfriend, and I'm assuming they're still together unless I'm told otherwise (with proof). Since no name or anything was given, I took the liberty. The title comes from a song by El Canto del Loco. I couldn't think of a title, until this song came into my head. It's probably one of my all-time favorites, and it's so fitting. I'll put up a translation with the English version. The story also stems from Xavi's goal against Sporting Lisbon in September. He puts his hand to his mouth like he's blowing a kiss, and I kind of imagined his girlfriend sitting in the stands right there. So I wondered what the significance of that could possibly be, and came up with this. :)

Last December was the last time I wrote any fiction (I'm not counting the 12-page paper Spanish-style I had to write on the Basques in Spanish for my study abroad program, as it wasn't fiction.), which was WAY too long ago. NEW MOOD THEME.

I really do enjoy making mood themes, and I think this has been one of the easiest ones for me to make so far. :) It could be because I have WAAAAAAAAY too many pictures of FC Barcelona, but that makes it easier to make mood themes. XD

Finished it up this morning and it's my current mood theme at the moment.

I took a few liberties with some of the moods, but I tried not to make them too ambiguous or whatever.

I also tried not to make it any one player-centric, but I think you'll notice a lot of Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernández icons, simply because I have sooooo many pictures of them. More Xavi than Pep, but I deliberately tried not to put too many Xavi pictures in. o______O I am planning on making a Xavi mood theme next, however, so stay tuned for that (I should actually be able to get it done, but given my excitement for this one it may be awhile. Ah well, gives me more time to save more pictures. XD).

All images are 80x40 pixels (for once!) and have a 2 px white border and a 1 px grey border, and are in .png format. PLEASE "right-click save as..." or "right-click save target as..." on the preview image. DO NOT LEFT-CLICK or the bandwidth will skyrocket. =P
