Hi!  I have started to become addicted to Space Channel 5.  (It's a little late, I know.  But, I never could get ahold of the game.)  I wanted to ask, what is the best material to use for her outfits?

I need to probably be able to paint on the diamonds as well as the symbol on her chest.  I'm afraid it'll start rubbing off with pleather/vinyl.  But maybe not?

I rented the game Samba De Amigo for Wii because I wanted to know if rhythm games for the console were any good.  The game itself is all right, at best.  But more important, ULALA MAKES A CAMEO!  She's got her own world in hard mode called "Ulala's Challenge," with a SC5 background and all that, with the songs "Do It Well," "Groove is in the Heart" (a really good fit for her, I think :D ) and, "Mexican Flyer" (!!!)  Here is the youtube video I could find featuring it.  Plus her own unlockable sound effect I'll be using for the rest of the game.  I like the game more after discovering this!  You should all check it out!  Sonic's in the game, too, if you care.

this is my first post ^_^ i wanted to say Hi...and i also had a question


me and my friend are doing an Ulala cosplay for Otakon, one in the white outfit, the other in the orange one. i was just wondering if anybody could help me pick the right fabric to make the costume's out of? i'm really not sure what would work well so suggestions would be nice. and if anyone has, or knows of a pattern that could work for her top, i would be very happy if someone could tell me where to get it.

So I just stumbled upon this comm today, and I'm really enthralled with Space Channel 5. I played both games, and love them both. I have a preference for part 2, but I think that's because I played it before the first one >>

Anywhoooooo. For Otakon this year, I am making Pudding's outfit (AND GUITAR). My problem, I don't have any super good shots of her outfit, and any time I ever search for SC5, clearly, Ulala is what is most displayed XD

It'd be easier to print out images to have with me rather than leave the dressing room on, ya know? So if anyone has any pictures or anything, that'd be awesome. Thaaaaaaank you

I was happy to see an Ulala cosplay at Otakon this year. ( Pictures. )

Hey guys! I just thought I might share a handful of my cosplay photos with you seeing as the con I wore it to (OtaFest '07) was all the way back in May (heh) Most are photos from out and about the con but the last few (the really grainy ones) were from our skit which we won runner-up "Best in Show" for (so best costumes and best skit) Somebody is yet to be generous enough to upload a video of this but the best I can do for now is an audio link for your auditory pleasure. Now you too can understand the plot!

Just a quick note about the costumes...
I made the Pudding and Ulala costumes and our dancelings just borrowed some of my everyday clothes. The company I ordered the wigs from didn't ship them out until two nights before OtaFest. They also shipped out a second pair of white platforms for Pudding but one of the zippers kept splitting so I just sent them back and let Pudding wear a pair of platforms I had already owned. Subsequently, the bottoms of my boots never got dyed orange for that reason. I literally pulled an all nighter the night before devising jet pack attachment schemes, styling wigs, sewing gloves with the 3mm seam allowance from hell and so on but still managed to miss adding a microphone attachment to my headset and putting the swirls on Pudding's shirt. But I eventually will so all the more photos for you to look forward to!

Something or another put me in a very Space Channel 5ish mood this morning and led me to play. I played a perfect game, from beginning to end, for the first time ever.

Not very creative.. but it works.
Feel free to download and use it yourself.. though it's not that big a deal. :p The high res Ulala is nice though (3000x6000 pixels, yeah!).
