It'll make your experience with us more enjoyable, and prevent you from getting confused when you start participating! :) ★ QUICK LINKS: ☇ Submission ☇ Results ☇ Banners ☇ Theme suggestion post ☇ WINNERS & HALL OF FAME  ☒ SCHEDULE × On Saturdays, a submission posted with the new theme for the week is posted. × On the Wednesday of the next week, a post is made to remind those who haven't entered. × On that Saturday, submission will be closed, and a voting post is made to determine winners. * × At this time, the new submission post is also made. × On Sunday, the results are posted. * If fewer than seven entries in, the week is extended and no new submission post is made. ** Please note that delays are inevitable. Even though we try our best not to be delayed, some ...things will get in the way, such as schoolwork or social events. We are sorry for those ...inconveniences. However, the mods are also highly prone to distraction, in which case we truly ...are sorry. ✐ GENERAL RULES FOR SUBMISSION × The file size of the icon must not exceed 40kb in file size. × The icon's dimensions must not be larger than 100x100 pixels. × The art featured in the icon must be official. Icons featuring fan art will be disqualified. × Images from the anime, official manga, and novels are accepted. × Each participant is allowed to submit up to TWO icons each week. × Icons must be made for the icontest. This means no turning in icons that you've already made ...that just so happens to fit the theme. × All icons are forbidden from being used until the week is concluded. This means that posting ...the icon(s) in an icon post or having them in your userpics is not allowed. ✐ STEPS TO FOLLOW × Comment on the appropriate week. There have been cases wherein people submit to old ...themes, so please don't do that. The only entries that will be considered for the current week ...will be the ones posted in the current submission post. × When submitting two entries, they can be submitted together or separately (it doesn't matter). × Your comment must include your icon and its URL and follow this format:  http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m125/masigla/icons/sos-tomodachi.png *Example provided by theatrically. ✁ VOTING SYSTEM × Voting begins roughly on Fridays at 9:00 p.m. This is, however, subject to change. × The votings offer five spots: three for placing, one special category, and the Mod's Choice. × Voting for the places calls for the use of points. The number of points received varies according ...to what place it is voted for. 2nd Place: receives 2 points 3rd Place: receives 1 point. ☇ This means that if an icon is voted 1st Place for three comments, it has 9 points. If it is then ....voted for 3rd Place, it receives 1 point, making it a total of 10 points. × For the Special Category, the winner is determined by a popularity vote. × A tiebreaker post is made in cases wherein there are ties for places or the Special Category. ✁ WINNER REWARDS × Each winner receives a banner to post in their own journal if they request one. × First place winners get added to the winners post alongside the week that they won. × If a participant has won first place three times, he or she is inducted into the Hall of Fame, ...and receives a special banner. × For six first place wins, the participant is promoted into Silver Status.
