I have read a few, but AU/Human!Edward = The way E/B'ers view Jacob in canon IMO.
3) What are your thoughts on the Taylor Lautner hate?

It seems as if everything the boy does annoys Bella/Edward shippers. Because he is "ZOMG, cockblocking Robsten!!1", "Too serious", "Too enthusiastic" or " Stealing the limelight".
I try to ignore the hate, but I get so annoyed with the racist and homophobic insults as of late. Being half-asian, I take offence when people call him squinty. And comments like "He looks gay" or "His voice is gay" just annoy me to no end.

Taylor Lautner is very happy he gets to hack off his hair in "New Moon."

He donned a long wig for his role as Jacob Black in "Twilight" and the first part of the sequel -- due in theaters next Friday -- but he opts for a shorter style during much of the new movie.

"I would not want that hair," he told the Boston Globe. "When I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn't even recognize myself."

The young star also admitted he wasn't much of a reader -- until he discovered Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight Saga" series, on which the films are based.

"As a matter of fact, I was not a book reader at all," Taylor said. "The only books I ever read were the ones I was forced to in school. But when I started reading this book series, I fell in love with the characters and started turning the pages one after another. It was crazy. I never thought I could do that. But I love this story. This franchise has everything in it: Romance, obviously, action, suspense. It has a dark side to it."

And all those elements, he said, will be showcased in the big screen adaptation of "New Moon."

"The fans are passionate about the book and all they want is those words on the pages brought up on the screen for them to watch," Taylor said. "We want to stay as close to the books as possible."


I personally love him as Jacob Black with the wig.

Okay, I don't know if anyone remembers last year, but I was going to rewrite New Moon. It involved Bella reading all of Charlie's self help books, breaking off the engagement with Edward, Charlie learning to cook, and Jacob being hot.

I hate Twilight I do, but Jacob and Bella are so awesome that I can't completely let go. Heck, even people that haven't read the books tell me "Yeah, why isn't she with Jacob?".

I'd like to try at least plot this story out and start writing it, but I was hoping for some ideas.

So if anyone has any ideas of what the second half of the story could be (after Bella and Jacob get together) I'd appreciate. So far I have some pretty hot smut where Jacob gets a little more in touch with his animal side. So what would you like to see in the fic? I want readers to like this story and I want everyone to feel like they were a part of it.

If this isn't allowed, please let me know and I'll delete.

So I've been seeing this a lot lately in the Twific world - Jacob/Bella being referred to as a 'non-canon couple'.

I don't get it.

They were in love with each other. Admitted as much. Made out and liked it. Wept over not being able to be together.

Why are they lumped in the same category as Jasper/Bella or Esme/Edward?

Conversely, why is Jacob/Renesmee called a 'canon couple' when there is no romance between them in canon?

I've thought about this a lot and can only assume that this false categorizing stems from the majority's hate for J/B and a desperate need to deny that it happened, it was there, they were in love, they were canon.

Discuss.

I've not seen this posted here yet, so I thought I'd share it with you guys. This interview went out on British TV today. It touches on Bella's relationship with Jacob, and the issue of who is better wolves or vampires.



I love it when she says "Jacob's is perfect for her on paper; girls don't chose the best thing for them" she then corrects herself and says "the easy thing for them". Personally I think she was right the first time-as Jacob is clearly the better option for her.

Also, this bit made me smile:
"I would love to date a wolf... They're true to themselves, and they have passion and they are no holds barred. I would have a really hard time properly sitting at dinner with the vampire, I would be like 'I'm bored'..."
