I’m a fanfic reader and occasional fanfic writer myself, so what did I pick for my thesis in communication sciences? Fan Fiction, of course. I designed a survey to find out more about our writing habits and media use; it takes about 10 minutes to complete.

If you could go here and fill it out, I’d be forever grateful. Of course I’ll publish some of the results at my journal in about a month or two, so you’ll know what happened with your answers.

The new Sorority Boys Archive can be considered open for business as of now. Any and all SB fanfics are welcome.

Should anyone decide to make any kind of graphics for the fanfic archive, it's not too late - they're still welcome.

Yes, the archive is empty at the moment. No, I will not be uploading other people's fics or fic links (unless asked directly, personally, and all that polite stuff).

Important note: because of what I perceive as a serious lack of interest the archive might be discontinued if it doesn't garner any traffic in story and/or story link uploads. I am aware that this is a small fandom, with a small number of existing stories (and yes, I was also the one to gather a bunch of them last time), but it is highly unlikely I will take it upon myself to track down each and every author and ask to archive their stories.

So, if you want the archive to be up and stay up, I'd ask you to spread the word to your favorite SB fic authors about it.

Another note: if you are going to archive a story or a story link, please only do so WITH YOUR OWN WORK or WITH THE AUTHOR'S EXPLICIT PERMISSION. Remember, small fandom - don't make me track you down for playing with other people's dildos toys. ;-)

Alright, so I still suck at naming things, but at least it's up and looks like it's working. \o/

It's Work in Progress, so don't upload any actual stories yet. Anything happening there till, say, February, will be considered TESTING and deleted for the grand opening, which will happen when all details are finalized.

The logistics of figuring out how to mark pairings sucked (how does Adam/Adina get it on with, say, Lex, without it looking like a threesome? And Adam/AdinaxLex is just confusing, not to mention Adam/Adina/Dave/Daisy) so I chickened out on the issue and tried an alternative.

Also, all pre-set stuff is based off the compilation of SB fics I've gathered last year, since housing those is the main goal, after all. Again, the list did not help me any in regards to genres or categories, so I left that field up to the posters. I figure once a number of stories is up I can always go back and add them all in properly.

It's been a long long while since the SB fanfic archive Walk of Shame went offline. Also a while since I've updated my fairly complete list of SB fics (sheesh, I'll have to track it down now, goodness knows if I even bookmarked it). So, I figure it's about time to take some initiative. Now that I've figured out the most basic basics of wordpress, I thought I could make an archive kind of thing there for the SB and SB crossover stories.

A new SB fic archive. What do you think?

I suppose I could make a poll about this, except polls are wonderfully dense and don't automatically tell me when someone's voted, so the old-fashioned way it's going to be.

My thoughts on challenges. Let me show you them.

I'm probably reading too much into this.

I'm compiling materials for my lesson plans this semester and I found sonnet #20, which is the one that Dave is always reciting to girls. Now, what interests me is that in the interpretation of this poem, it is actually addressed from a man TO a man, who by "Nature's own hand painted" has the face of a woman and a gentle heart without the fickleness and dishonest nature.

Should we read this from Leah to Dave, as she is dating a man who is as a woman? Or do we take this poem, which is one of the ones that apparently demonstraits Shakespeare's less than heteroness, and read the choice onto Dave's character? If not directed at himself, who else does Dave love, who he lets women treasure the body but his soul?

I'd read it as Dave/Adam, but that's just me. You'd think after a point, Dave would realize what he was really looking for, considering which poem he 'chose' (or flip through the book and put his finger on). Come out the closet, Dave!

Anyone else know that Melissa Sagemiller (Leah) is in some show called Sleeper Cell? Just wondering if anyone has seen it (I haven't) and if she's any good in it.

I really like her in SB, and I wish she'd get a good job (anyone else see Love Object? ...I thought not. Don't waste your money on renting it).

And, what's with her hair? I really like her with blonde hair, she looks so dark as a brunette. Odd. Especially without Leah's glasses for some reason.

Anyone else have any thoughts on her?
