Superman is the last scion of Krypton, a world that no longer exists. Before the planet consumed itself, his parents launched him towards a primitive world called Earth...where the inhabitants were much like the Kryptonians in form. They didn't wish their child, barely even a toddler, to die without having known life. He was found by a the Kents, who raised him as their own as they were incapable of having children of their own. Under the different environmental conditions on Earth, the child discovered he had a wide array of abilities that made him extremely different than those around him. For this reason, though he strove to help many in trouble, he is fundamentally alone.
While the story is tragic, as many fandoms have their roots in such, the amount of happiness and joy that surrounds it is immense. Spanning numerous comics series, many TV shows, a few movies, and other media; the continuing adventures of Superman are enjoyed by children and adults the world over.
I figured...what could one more community hurt?

We·Need·a·Life and not here. I used to allow advertising in any of my communities if it kept to the theme of that community but I'd like to cut down on that a bit...until it dwindles to nothing.
