AboutWelcome to Sonic Couples, a new community dedicated to talking about the couples and pairings that Sonic fans on LiveJournal support. Talk about which pairings you like and why, and share your pairing related art, icons, fanfiction and anything else you have in mind!
This is an open community and I'd like to keep it with as few rules as possible, but to prevent certain anarchy, there are a few ground rules, so please be willing to abide before you join ^_~
Sonic Couples posting rules:
1) Tolerance. This is the main rule, and the one I'll be most strictly moderating. This group accepts fans of ALL Sonic Pairings, which includes het, yaoi, yuri, shota and lolita. If you're not sure what any of these are, please look them up before joining. Flaming of other peoples' couple preferences will not be tolerated. If you disagree with a pairing, you may make a reasoned argument against that pairing, but please do not reply to any member's post with the sole intention of telling them their pairing is wrong. Share the love, not the disapproval!
2) By all means post images, but if the image is large, please LJ cut-tag it before posting. Images above PG rating are accepted, but must be either linked or behind an LJ cut-tag, with CLEAR warning that the material is explicit. The same warning applies to 'fics above the PG rating.
3) Moderate language please. Let's keep it civil in here n.n You can discuss physical relationships, but let's avoid turning this into a sex-based community, okay? Discuss all aspects of a relationship, but again, if you're going to be explicit, a warning and a cut-tag is necessary.
4) A little intelligence is expected. I'd rather not see posts that soley consist of "SONAMY IS SOOOO KAWAII!!! <3!!" or "OMG SONADOW IS TEH HOTT!!! BUTTSECKS!!!". Feel free to ask if there are others who share your pairings views, however.
5) You may advertise your own community as long as it is Sonic related. Spread the love! You may also post icons, wall papers, fan art, fan fiction, essays, and anything else related to Sonic couples.
Edit: May 12 2006 - If you wish to advertise, you MUST be a member of this community. This is to avoid drive-by ad-bombing, or attempts to usurp members for another community without any participation in this one :P I think this is fair, since many communities don't allow advertising at all, but you guys are free to advertise ANY Sonic-related community or website here :)
6) HAVE FUN! ^_^ Unlike certain other moderators in other forums, I do NOT reserve the right to be an ass, and I will try to uphold that. All is ask is that the members show the same courtesy and respect.
I will try to get a proper layout up soon. In the meanwhile, if anyone would like to offer to make a layout for me, I would be very grateful, as I don't have a lot of time between work commitments.
Finally, any comments/questions should be directed to me either within the group or personally at flyboytails@aol.com
