AboutA community for kinky Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures and other DW-franchise fanfic. If it's not vanilla, it's (mostly) welcome. (More on the "mostly" below.)
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
1. You must be eighteen or older to apply for membership, and either your LJ profile must reflect this or you must e-mail me an age statement (violetisblue at livejournal dot com). People who misrepresent their ages will be banned from the community.
2. That's pretty much it, really. You'll also be banned if you join solely to rail at everyone about how sick and wrong their fantasies are, but you probably knew that already.
GROUND RULES:
1. No character-bashing, pairing-bashing or het/slash/whatever-bashing in your comments, period. All characters, pairings and show eras welcome. If you're sick unto death of reading about [insert name here] and [insert name here] doing [insert activity here], well, life's a vale of tears.
2. Someone writing a story that does horrible and painful things to your favorite character is not considered "character-bashing." It is rather considered "one of the defining purposes of this community."
3. Almost all varieties of potentially kinky fanfic welcome. If you consider it to be non-vanilla, post it here. While each reader's comfort level varies, you are not the judge of whether someone else's story is "pervy enough" to make the cut.
4. Whaddaya mean, "almost"? Glad you asked, Tallulah. The following stories are NOT PERMITTED under any circumstance:
a. Anything containing sexual/kinky activity involving characters under the age of eighteen. Yes, this means no chanfic--sorry, but the law in this area opens up a lot of people to potential trouble and I'm not taking any chances. No, eighteen is not the legal age in many jurisdictions, but it is where your dungeonmistress and LiveJournal are both located.
b. Anything involving racial/ethnic slurs, whether the slurs are part of the BDSM action or not, or fantasy racism/white supremacy. In other words, characters spewing racial slurs as part of a scene and/or "Martha Jones as a plantation slave" stories are too out there even for this list, so don't post them. Period. If such stories are posted, they will be deleted.
c. Anything else you can come up with, go for it.
5. Please label ALL stories as follows:
a. Title
b. Author
c. Pairing/s
d. Era/timeline
e. Rating
f. Summary
g. Featured kinks, unless this is a plot-related surprise
h. Warnings (see #6 below)
6. You are REQUIRED to provide header warnings AND to cut-tag if your story contains potential episode spoilers for the current season of any show (previous seasons are fair game), if it contains any sort of non-consensual activity, or if it's real person fiction, if any of the people in question are still alive. (David Tennant/John Simm fic = warning required. Doctor/Angelina Jolie = warning required. Doctor/Shakespeare = warning not required.)
7. Crossovers, AUs, etc. welcome. Feel free to make beta requests and ask questions.
8. Constructive crit is not flaming. You do want to know if that hot Rose/Jack BDSM scene would result in her getting second-degree burns and cracking several vertebrae if acted out in real life, right? We'll assume the answer is yes.
9. Flaming is not constructive crit. Keep it civil.
10. Your stories don't have to be safe, sane and consensual, but you do have to follow the community rules and not behave like an idiot. Multiple offenders will be banned.
