rant and scream what you will, this journal is now closed.
its definately not what i intended it to be. i havent payed attention to it in about 2 years. its not what i want to be responsible for. there are other places to talk about socks, in both the ways this journal was meant to intend, and what its used for now.
im keeping it up for memory's sake.

Got some new legwarmers recently. The first pair is Neon Green and has matching Armwarmers. Got them from Sock Dreams but the legwarmers are sold out now. This outfit is just over-flowing with green.
The outfit consists of a two tone green striped halter dress, neon green legwarmers and armwarmers, a green/grey/white track jacket and HUGE green heart earrings.
This next outfit is what I'm wearing to work tonight, which I have to head out in a few minutes for:
The outfit consists of a Royal Blue V-Neck Top (my sister's), a grey ruffle skirt, grey tights (from Trashy.com) and Royal Blue Legwarmers. I first saw the legwarmers on Sock Dreams but they were sold out so when I asked when they were planning on getting more they said it would be a while and I should check Ebay to get them right from the supplier. Ended up doing that and ordered them, and some pink ones, from the Supplier's webpage for $5 each. They have the neon green there too if you wanted those as well.

Saturday I got my first of two recent Sock Dreams orders in. Most of the order was stuff for other people for Christmas but I did get a couple things for myself. I got the Cotton Candy Nordic Stripe Legwarmers which I absolutely love.
I started out with them layered over my 36 inch pink long socks but the colors didn't match perfect and they kept falling down because of where I had them cuffed so I ended up switching to pink tights instead. I wore them to a party at my friend's house and got lots of compliments. I was even on Team Legwarmers for Beer Pong with Tutti who LOVES legwarmers. She said she was gonna steal them from me which of course she didn't. I showed her the webpage though and said if I get some more money maybe she'll get them for Christmas!

Also in that order I got my walnut slouch socks. There's just something about me and brown lately, I haven't been able to get enough. So I wore them today with my brown "Drop It Like It's Hot" tee and jeans and brown converse lowtops with argyle laces. No one really saw them other than Brandi when I showed her but she's not a fan of slouch socks cuz they remind her of her mom or grandma or someone who used to wear them all the time. That's ok, I love them and the color matched really well with my shoes. Check out the pics:

My friend Brandi gave me these yellow argyles she got on clearance at Hot Topic where she works because she knew I would wear them a lot more often than she would. Decided to wear them at 80's Night last week!! It was a cold day so I ended up layering them over my black sheer argyle tights. Tutti did my makeup, which I don't usually wear, but we went all out this time around:
Unfortunately I didn't get any full body pics while we were out so you couldn't see the socks and I decided to bust out my camera today and get back in the outfit to take some pics to share:
Hot Topic is having some great sales next week because of Black Friday and all, they start Wednesday though so I'm going with Brandi so I can use her discount and make a killing! I'll be looking for socks, undies, earrings & belts the most for myself and then shirts and stuff for people for Christmas. I'll let you know if I get some great new socks! I also made two Sock Dreams orders today so I'm sure I'll be able to get some pics in that stuff next week after it comes in. Some of it is presents for Christmas but I did get more for myself too!

Hiya, I'm shelleopard from over at Sock-Dreams, and I have a problem with which I'm hoping some of you might like to help: I made a BUNCH of garters for a DIY Expo that turned out to SUCK (the expo, not the garters!). :) So, I'm stuck with lots of stock sitting around my place, earning me NOTHING. I want rid of these items! They're all special garters made for a one-time deal...there aren't more than two of any given style available to sell. None of them are on Sock-Dreams, and, as far as we have planned for now, none of them WILL be. I'm selling these off on Ebay CHEAP 'cuz I invested too much in them and I now really need that $ back, lol! Please have a look at my Ebay items by clicking on the pic below, and perhaps you can get a one-of-a-kind Sock Garter that suits you perfectly! (Btw, these make spiffy gifts.) I've gotten tons of new stuff since the last time I've posted, lots of it hasn't even been worn or pictured yet. But here's some of the stuff I do have shots of.
This was a great deal. The whole outfit pretty much came from Aeropostale on sale (except for the shirt which I had) The pink tights and turquoise legwarmers were 99 cents each and the skirt was only 5.99. I think the whole thing is adorable and fits in well with the rest of my collection. My tights collection is slowly but surely growing to help me out through the cold months ahead.
I think it was in comments on here somewhere that I complained about seeing an add months ago with my free panty card from Victoria's Secret that they were selling some really cute socks that were online and catalog exclusive and then I didn't see or hear anything about it for a long time after that. Well finally the socks are up on the webpage and boy are they cute. They're in the pink collection but this is the only pair that I got that is *actually* pink. They're really comfy and stay up great. They actually would go up a little bit higher but it was akward having them covering only half my knees and I doubt they would stay there anyways so I just wear them right below. I also got some new socks while shopping at the mall with my friend Brandi one day. They're from Deb and were buy two get one free so she ended up getting the same socks but in pink as well. Maybe someday I'll be able to get her to pose in her socks with me in mine. That would be cute.
The outfit is very schoolgirl. It cracks me up when I see Halloween costumes that are schoolgirl outfits out and about when I wear stuff cuter than that on a normal day-to-day kind of way. But I guess not everyone can pull that kind of thing off. This was the first time I ever wore a tie in public. Not so sure how often I'll do that but it definatly worked with the outfit. The socks are worn over light blue tights and they're two shades of blue argyle on white socks and have light blue Playboy Bunnies on the sides. Here's a closer picture of just the socks and tights:
Hope you like them. And like I said, there's plenty more new stuff I still need to get around to taking pictures of so I should have some more stuff to show you all soon. And in other exciting news: I just got a new Canon Powershot SD400 and I LOVE it. It's tiny and fits in my purse and such so I should be able to get more cute shots when I'm actually out and about someplace instead of just posing around in my room and such.

I work for Girl Scouts and for Halloween this is what I wore to work. I went in "official Girl Scout uniform" (all you need to be "official" is the pins and I tell people this all the time as part of my job).
