Definition of Snarry

"Snarry: [Noun] Severus Snape x Harry Potter, who manage to fall in love despite the 'real' books and [censor] each others' brains out. Is also used to describe any general Harry Potter/Severus Snape romantic pairing, be it fic, picture, or video."

Snarry is otherwise, less colourfully, known as an intimate relationship between Severus Snape and Harry Potter depicted in fiction, art or video.

If the I, or the other mods, tell you to change your post to reflect the rules, we expect you to change them promptly. If I go back and see that you've posted recently, but haven't changed your post I've commented on, I will delete your post.

EDIT (08/26/08): I will be deleting posts that do not comply with the rules. It's up to you to read the rules and know what can and can't be posted.

When posting stories and art, please use the following fic header (before your lj-cut):
Title: [all fics and art must have some sort of name other than 'Untitled']
Author/Artist:
Rating: [do not rate individual chapters, rate as a whole]
Categories: [AU, PWP, etc.]
Warnings: [Yaoi/slash/mxm love/lemon are *not* warnings, do not include them]
Summary: [the story/art/video *must* have a summary]
Answers Challenge: [if any]
Word Count: [this is up to you]
[Please put Disclaimers and author notes behind the lj-cut, along with your story]

The main pairing must be Severus/Harry. Threesomes are allowed, so long as they involve Harry and Severus.

Gen and pre-slash is not allowed.

All posts must contain snarry in some degree or form, ie, no OT posts. The only one that will be doing that is one of the maintainers when they, or I, have an announcement concerning the community.

No flaming. Constructive criticism is welcome should the author/artist wish it. Keep discussions civil.

No kink-bashing. If a warning is not to your liking, do not read the story, and/or keep your opinions to yourself.

Use appropriate warnings and ratings.

Lj-cut all art and fiction (be it drabble or novel length fic).

When posting a multi-chaptered story, link to the very last chapter/epilogue via the first chapter/prologue. From the last chapter/epilogue, link to all previous chapters. This makes everything much easier when it comes to reading a multi-chaptered fic on this community. For sequels and prequels, please link to them back and forth (ie, prequel is linked to sequel, and vice versa).

Subject lines must be filled in with the main idea of the post. They are to be categorized as followed: FIC, ART, FIC SEARCH, VIDEO, SEQUEL, PREQUEl, etc. [Ficlet or Drabble are *not* necessary. They're both considered under 'FIC']

Edit, as of 4/12/06 - Do not disable comments. Do not lock posts. Keep your headers short [follow my guidelines above] - we don't need to hear about when you'll next post - that's what your own private lj is for- I will be enforcing this as of tomorrow morning.

Edit, as of 6/07/06 - Do not post 'previews' of your stories, art, videos, or anything else. Post your actual fics. If you want people to anticipate your story, and that's why you're posting a preview, then do it on your own journal.

Edit, as of 08/26/08 - Only fic searches, for one (or more) specific fics from one (or more) authors, is allowed. Asking for recs is not allowed.
