AboutThis community was created as a way for photographers of varying levels of skill to share their work fun with one another. Posts varying from this theme will be deleted. In addition to this most important rule, here are a few other rules that should keep it fun:
• Do not host from printroom or any other site that places a banner on the photo. If you have trouble finding a place to host your photos, ask someone! We would be glad to give you some suggestions!
• Try to keep your pictures small enough that they will not disrupt a friends page, about 500px should be more than enough. If you must have it so big, post a link or use an lj-cut.
• Even if your larger pictures are behind a cut, there is no point in making them so large that nobody can see them without scrolling sideways. I would say that keeping them smaller than 800px would probably make a great deal of sense.
• Do not post more than three pictures at a time without putting the rest behind an lj-cut. If they are small, it shouldn't matter. Use your best judgement.
• If you suspect that something you are posting will make someone sick or upset, just lj-cut it or post a link accompanied by possible concerns.
• If you are linking to one of your personal journal entries, disallow comments on snapsnapsnap. It just makes sense.
• Take it easy with the fancy effects. If your photograph looks more like a drawing, I don't think this community is interested.
• No advertisements.
• Give credit where credit is due.
• Be nice, but constructive, with your comments. Don't tell people they suck, or that they are ugly. You can give them tips on how not to suck, but everyone would prefer that tips on how not to be ugly be left to your personal journal.
