| CULT OF SNAPE II - Severus Snape: Always. |
[02 Sep 2007|03:57pm] |
Like the resurrection of Snape through the unwavering belief of His most faithful, loyal and devoted fandom -- like the phoenix rising from the ashes to live yet another day -- The Cult of Snape is back - under it's new unplottable HQ.
Worship and Wear clothing and accessories that show your Snape Pride!
Cult of Snape II now has Snape Mourning and Death Denial apparel. This new collection is located on the main page. 'Good Night Dark Prince', 'Long Live the Half-Blood Prince', 'Snape is Dead: But Fanfiction is Afterlife' and 'Severus Snape: ALWAYS' are just some of the new shirts up. Check back for more periodically!
To find all the other snarky tees that were on the previous site, click on the 'Women's Regular T-Shirt' image.
Also... the SS/LE SHIP will be setting full sail here (for those of you who buy the entire package from JKR) - but other SHIPS will also be sailing in the harbor as well.
Cult of Snape II is a clothing (and soon to be accessory) site dedicated in memoriam to Severus Snape and to not let his supposed 'death' by his ignorant creatrix be in vain. All Hail, the Half-blood Prince, Ex-Professor and Potions Master, Ex-Double Agent and Headmaster of Hogwarts. Even if JKR has smote him down, YOU can continue to proudly wear Him on your sleeve and keep The Master alive and well in our hearts!
KEEP THE FAITH! Worship and wear!
Be sure to bookmark Cult of Snape II as the old site location will be going away in a month or so!

| Support Snape? - 'Cult of Snape' T-shirt shop now open! |
[16 Mar 2007|03:07pm] |
Want Snape t-shirts? Want Slytherin t-shirts? What something to wear to the HP cons?
Check out..
Cult of Snape
You'll experience a religious epiphany and ecstasy as you don your Snape wear and bask in the pride and glory in the rapture that his He - while the general public looks at you aghast, befuddled or bemused. ;) But hey, all Cults are always sooo misunderstood! :-P
Obviously, you will find t-shirts -- and more than likely other accessories -- all glorifying Our Royal Half-Blood Prince and Master - as well as Slytherin items (coming soon.) The shirts showcased are for Women's sizes. Women who require more generous PLUS size are free to email me to request any tee they like. Apparently, CafePress just come out with additional additional plus size shirts - a circle neck and v neck variety. You got kids? You want to start them early on their Snape endoctrination? Then see the previous link. Also, any men who are interested (nay, is that possible??), should also email me for a request, and I will add men's tees per your slogan request.
The store is by no means finished. Infact, I haven't even announced it to the public but sooomehow... people have already managed to meander in and procure their t-shirts (much to my delight!) So, feel free to peruse and help yourself. :)
In the coming weeks, I will be adding more slogans - I'm transferring a lot of the slogans I created on Spreadshirt to CafePress - and there are a lot of them. So, I'm getting them up on Cafepress little bit by little bit.
If CafePress ever gets it's act together and offers short sleeved t-shirts with printings for the BACK as well as front of a t-shirt, (Eh hem. Why haven't they done this yet.. GRRrrr.. Sloow pokes.) I will be adding Snape slogan shirts that correspond to several HP conventions that are coming up.
Feel free to spread the word about your LJ or whereever.

| Harry Potter and the Who did What now? |
[22 Dec 2006|03:25pm] |
So does anyone feel at all enlightened by the new title?
( For them as haven't heard )
The most common reaction I've seen so far has been a resounding Huh? Does anyone care to hazard a guess as to what it means, and how the tale is going to go, with the emphasis on Snape, of course?

I posted this entry as a comment to another entry below, but saw too late that the entry was quite old, so I decided to post it again as a stand-alone entry...So, without any further ado:
How can anyone still believe that Snape would turn out evil??
Rowling has thrown so many hints to the contrary in all books, and especially in book six, that it is crystal clear for me that Snape is not evil, but in fact hs been working against Voldemort in all those years.
I think it´s very likely that Snape was in love with Harry´s mother, with them being in the same Potion´s class with Slughorn and her being so good at Potions (why else did he invent the Muffliato spell when he didn´t have any friends to use it with?? Perhaps to secretly talk to a Gryffindor??). When he realized he betrayed his love to Voldemort, he turned to Dumbledore. Dumbledore told him that in order to repent for the death of Lily, he has to do anything to prevent Voldemort from coming back.
And that he did.
I have found many many hints to the fact that Snape is not evil; e.g. in book 6, Hagrid is telling the trio that he overheard an argument between Snape and Dumbledore - the only argument he ever noticed between those two. In this, Snape told Dumbledore "what if he didn´t want to do it anymore", and Dumbledore answered that "he had agreed to it, so he must stick to it" or something like that (sorry, don´t have the book with me ;o). And if you fill in the gaps the conversation could have gone like this: "What if I don´t want to have to kill you in the end?" "You agreed to do it! So stick to it!" True, there can be other things Snape suddenly refused to do, but I believe this is the right theory: Snape agreed to kill Dumbledore in the end, but he does not want to kill his mentor, so he tries to get out of it, and Dumbledore is stern with him, knowing that this will be the only solution.
And I think that this is the reason why, after Harry and Dumbledore return from the Horcrux, Dumbledore specifically asks only for Snape: he knows that Snape will be the only one who is strong enough to kill him now (I believe that Dumbledore was doomed the moment he drank from the water in the horcrux, and that he - and Snape - knew that. McGonagall would never have agreed to that, but it was necessary).
But there is one text passage where, in my opinon, Rowling makes it crystal clear that Snape is a good guy without actually spelling it out: At the end, when Harry lost his wand and shouts at Snape "Then kill me, you coward!", I quote:
"Don´t" screamed Snape, and his face was suddenly demented, inhuman, as though he was in as much pain as the yelping, howling dog stuck in the burning house behind them, "call me a coward!" End of quote.
So tell me: what reason does Snape have to be in so much pain??? He just killed his Lord´s greatest enemy, the "old fool" who constantly refrained from giving him his desired position as Defense against the Dark Arts teacher!!! He must be overjoyed! Yet he seems to be so desperate. It only makes sense if he really IS. Snape, who is usually so controlled in his feelings, lets his mask down in this moment and shows that he really is desperate, and mad, and desolate, mourning the loss of his mentor and only confidant. He did what he had to do.
But killing Dumbledore now puts him in the best position for destroying Voldemort:
At his right side.
But I also believe (and that´s what makes ME sad and desperate ;o) that Snape isn´t going to survive...
Sigh...

Is there anyone who is willing to take over moderator for this comm? I've almost completely drifted out of HP fandom, and it would be better if someone who was still interested ran SnapeSupport and revitalized it.

i have three chapters complete. Snape/OFC pairing with the possibility of a Snape/OFC/Lucius menage a trois eventually.
Also, did it strike anyone as slightly odd that in Chamber of Secrets Harry didn't notice AT ALL that Tom Riddle was wearing a Slytherin uniform? i mean, Harry isn't too bright, we know, & Hermione's saved his arse on too many occasions... but still.

| In need of a beta badly. |
[07 May 2006|09:10am] |
Hello everyone,
As you can see I am a bit new to this group. This would be my frist time posting ever. I am looking for beta for my newest fic. It's told from Severus' point a veiw. The story is bascily what he feels as his vistors (Bella and Narcissa) talk him into the unbreakable vow. He speaks of his feelings for Narcissa, which turn out to be mainily lust. Yet, Severus compairs it to love and how he would do anything for her. It's 562 words, just one page. The rating would be around G-PG. The story has been spelled checked however beucase of my learning disablity I want to make sure it's perfect.
If anyone is intrested please answer here or e-mail me at scar_upon_his_soul@yahoo.com

I've read many very clever and compelling arguments about a conspiracy between Snape and Dumbledore, and I do half-hope and half-suspect that there may be something in them. I also noticed today that Dumbledore says "Severus, please..." before Snape even raises his wand - before it becomes apparent that Snape intends to kill him. Not quite sure what to make of that yet.
( However... )

[24 Feb 2006|11:26am] |
I would like to draw your attention to the Severus Snape, Half-Blood Prince Fest, found at snape_the_hbp. You can sign up anytime and the Fest runs during the month of May. The purpose of the Fest is to examine the character of Severus Snape in light of the events and revelations of the sixth book. We welcome slash, het and gen equally, as well as fic, art and meta. You are welcome to use your own ideas in contributing to the Fest but if you are in need of inspiration, here is a post that might help.
I apologize if you've seen this Fest pimped too often. I just wanted to be sure and reach all the Snape writers.
