One result:

The patient woke twelve hours after completion of operation to repair throat wound. He was alert but weak, and was able to take fluids by mouth. Discharge plan in progress….

*wild happy hug* Yes! I think this little drabble is the best Snape survives I've seen yet--because he saves himself by going to exactly the place a dying man needs to be. And it's so beautifully and vividly written. Thank you. :-)

Wonderful!! I love this idea (of course I am always a sucker for Snape-lives fics!), and the way you've written it from his pained near-death-barely-hanging-on POV is unique and insightful. Really excellent, and a great use of the prompt.
