Title: The Perfect Souvenir
Challenge: Obsession

Note: this continues the mpreg series [info]nimrod_9 began and I continued. Don't click if the idea bothers you.



"You're serious. You want me to cover your stomach with sticking plaster and - "

"I told you I wanted one before I got pregnant."

"I didn't think you were serious." Remus loved how big Severus had gotten, but a belly cast? "Please tell me you aren't planning a soup tureen."

"Of course not! I thought a cradle for the first few weeks, and then a sculpture." Severus pressed a hand to his hugely swollen belly. "This really can't wait."

Remu flushed, then nodded. "As long as I get to shag you afterwards."

"Of course. Sex hastens labor, after all."

Yep! To be pointed out proudly to visitors, like Potter when he and the youngest Weasley start breeding. The girl should know what she's in for, don't you think?

"That was just after my belly button popped out," Severus said, hovering over the back of the couch as Remus showed Ginny the baby book. In the picture, Severus ran his hand over the bulge and then turned to the side. "You can see it..." He paused, frowning at the way the little nub on his belly blended in to the wall behind him in the picture. Damn. "Should have taken a close up."

Remus gave him an exasperated look. "I think you took plenty."

"You can sort of see it," Ginny said, squinting. Harry looked decidedly uncomfortable, slumped low into a chair on the other side of the room.

"Well, there is the sculpture." Severus gestured toward the round, painted cast hanging prominently over the mantle.

"That's what that is?" Harry asked, gaping at it now. "I thought it was just... bad art."

"Harry!" Ginny chided, and Harry shut his mouth. She closed the book and went to inspect the sculpture. "You got enormous!"

"I know," Severus said proudly, running his hand over his now flat abdomen. He missed the bulge already. "I hope to get even larger next time."

He offered a small smirk and a negligent shrug at the surprised expression on Remus' face, as Harry turned a light shade of green across the room.

Bad art??? OMG!!!!! That's fabulous!


And of course he wants another. Anything to show his devotion to Remus, especially if it makes Harry flee to another country.

Is Severus going to be one of those mummies parents that gets the belly cast painted in a decorative manner, too? I love that it's multifunctional.

Poor Remus...but at least he's getting some sex out of it.

I was think more along of the lines of Snape wanting to show EVERYONE the kid's school pictures, how he looked at two months, three months, first birthday. But yes, that as well would be a problem.
