TXTLJ
Paid users in the USA can now use the official TXTLJ service, see here for more info (this is completely unrelated to [info]sms_to_lj, I just thought some of you would like to know).

Thanks to those of you who went through all of the "when will this work in the UK?" posts in that thread and mentioned this service, I know that LJ are looking to launch the TXTLJ service in more countries soon.

For those of you joining us for the first time, instructions are here and I also provide a UK number for voiceposting on 020 7100 1117 (because I'm kind like that) :)

Enjoy.

I found this community through one of those replies, and I just wanted to say thank you.

nope, no pic support... if your phone supports picture messaging it'll probably do e-mail in some way:

Most mobile networks let you send MMS to an e-mail address, some ruin it by making the recipient click on a link and enter a code instead of just attaching the image.

I love your service, and I have used it a couple of times to post from train stations and buses!

I recently got another phone and want to post from it while keeping my other number. I registered the number with LJ and psoted in the right format, but my post didn't appear, even the the phone swore blind it had been received.

Does it take a certain amount of time to register a phone with LJ?
