| Look what I found in GREECE! |

So even though these are not official, I thought it was pretty cool to find these. I believe Greece was airing Sailor Moon for a little so maybe it developed enough of a fan base over there for some merchandise to be imported.
Now again, even though these are not official I still thought it was cool to find these since my background is Greek. The sticker shows they were imported into Greece. :)
What do you guys think of this set? It wasn't expensive at all (obviously) so I though it was worth the pickup.

just want some opinions from various sailor moon collectors how much these dolls are worth?, when i got her she had a tapped up box. but since i've had her shes been opened only to remove the stand. everything else is it its rightful place. theres also a chibi moon R doll i believe she is, that is the same like venus tapped up box stand removed. plz i hate drama be kind in comments. if i ever decide 2 sell her the price is mine to decide. seeing as tho i never see this particular one on ebay and havent in god kno's venus seems 2 be pretty rare. as does chibi moon semi rare. i kno this isnt a selling site its for collecting. and i do also kno those that have collected and are collecting dwell on this fansite so if u can give me some opinion price ideas i'd appreciate it. i paid quite alot for them both at one time,

I wonder how many of you can relate. I recently become pretty good friends with a few other active Sailormoon merch collectors. It really feels good to know that I'm not the only one that goes through physical pain in the process of this journey. It's a real emotional roller coaster ride I've gotten on, and sometimes I wonder if it's even very healthy.
I'm very passionate about my hobby. I can understand why a person who has never had this level of devotion to something would think me mad. However, having recently discovered that so many others share the same enthusiastic vigor as I, it's become something of a badge of honor for me.
Yes, I get stomach aches during eBay auctions. Yes, I cry with tears of joy when I FINALLY get a long sought after item. I coo it and show it to everyone and give it a special place, on a special shelf in a SPECIAL room in my house. Yes, it hurts me to think of all the beautiful things I will likely never own. I dream about finding and owning these things. I watch things on eBay that I don't have the money for just to TORTURE MY SOUL. Do I sound like a materialistic psycho that is unhealthily obsessed with a cartoon show from the 90s? YES! YES I DO! ^_____^
I've considered therapy, but in the end I know I don't want it to go away. I want to feel the joys and pains of collecting Sailormoon stuff. It's a metaphor for life! I work hard to achieve those things I want. Sometimes those things are not there to have, and sometimes I don't have what it takes to get them, and sometimes SOMEONE ELSE gets them! BUT I PLOW ON! Determined to make the best of every auction, every yard sale, every dollar store. I will seek out new Sailormoon toys in new locations. I WILL BOLDLY GO WHERE MANY OF YOU HAVE GONE BEFORE.
And I will not refinance my house to buy toys.

I got her for $5 plus $2.50 shipped. ^_^
Does anyone know how much she's worth deboxed? I've seen her go for $30 boxed.

I enjoy seeing the photos of everyone's collections. I'm working on a project site now that is going to be a guide, just for the dolls from the series. I eventally plan on expanding it to contain info on the gashpon and other figures, but for now it's focus is just on the dolls. I'd greatly appreciate any help and photos that you guys can provide and that you don't mind me reposting to share with the web. I will give credit for the photos, so no worries.

What's your motivation for collecting Sailor Moon items?
Do you just like looking at your collection? Do you tend to hoard stuff anyway? Or, do you possibly consider it an investment? I'm sure we all have different, but similar, motivations.

I already posted this in ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) sailormoonfans, but then I remembered that I might be able to get some help from here, too. So sorry for the crossposting!
Okay, so here's the poop, scoop. I've been doing some cleaning this week. Particularly in my room yesterday when I was moving my dolls around back and forth from my dresser to my bookcase (which is an entirely different useless post in and of itself that I will probably post later) when I noticed something. My 17 inch Venus's uniform is getting a little dirty. Her and 12 inch Moon. There are pictures of them behind ( the cut )
Any ideas for how to clean them and their uniforms? They're both two of my absolute favorites from my collection so I'd hate for them to stay that way. :/
Also! Another thing that's bugging me. Apparently I am the only one who never realized that the 17 inch dolls came with a stand. I read it on a description of the same doll that someone was selling thinking "WHAT? I never got a stand and my folks bought her at the store..." So I read her box and sure enough! She came with a stand.
But hell if I know where it is. So two questions about that.
1 - Does anyone have an extra they don't mind parting with or know where I can get an inexpensive doll stand for her?
2 - Anyone have any good makeshift stand ideas that don't involve just propping her up or sitting her down?

| Removing scratches? |

Okay, so the person that sold me the damaged star locket finally settled on giving me a partial refund of $75. It's not the full $165 that I paid, but it's better than nothing, and honestly, I just wanted the nightmare to end.
So I have a refund and I get to keep the locket. And to be truthful, I'd much rather keep it and have a refund than know that I paid $165 for a crappy damaged one.
So my question to you all now is this... there's a lot of scratches on the surface and I wanted to know if there is a good product to use to try and either remove/and or buff them out? I don't want to just use anything because I don't want to make it worse or ruin it :\
Any ideas? |
