cruellestmonth, and I've browsed thorugh a lot of suicide/depression/bipolar/abuse/etc. communities, and found that most of them are hard for me to fit in to. I'm not a snob, but I was Ivy-educated and there's only so many misspelled angsty poems by 14-year-olds one can stand. So I ask that you not post here unless you're reasonably intelligent and educated. I will not, however, actually turn anyone away who wants to join unless they break the community rules, listed below. I just believe you are likely to feel more comfortable here if you are of above-average intelligence, and I hope that this community will also be able to converse intelligently on topics besides abuse, depression, and so forth. Most of all, I hope that we can all make some new friends, learn from each other, and find whatever help and support we need.
As for the rules, they're pretty simple:
- Be respectful of all other members of the community and their beliefs.
- Proper grammar and spelling are required. The occasional typo is fine, but a basic grasp of the English language is required. If you have an artistic reason for writing all in lowercase or something like that, please express that artistic reason before doing so.
- Stupid internet expressions such as "LOL" "ROTFL" "OMFG" and so forth are not allowed. Smileys are allowed, if not ridiculously overused. *Hugs* are always allowed.
- Please do not try to convert anyone to your religious beliefs. I had a big problem with this in a different community, under a different username.
- Please do not post or use any pictures of an excessively graphic or offensive nature, especially as they may be triggering for some readers.
