ADMIN: Pimp your Small Fandom!!!
Time for another new round of fandom pimpage! Remember, the pimp-your-fandom button is reset to zero, so every single small fandom is up for grabs. Even if someone else had previously signed up to pimp it and failed to deliver. *coff* Not me, of course. *g* *coff* Even if it’s already been pimped once before. Of course, we don’t want you to rehash everything the last pimper said, but we’d love to get your own unique take on the fandom.

Pimping Rules:

1. Each fandom may only be claimed by one person per round.

2. You may claim more than one fandom, but only one at a time.

3. Wondering what to include in your pimp? Give us some background on the book/show/movie, tell us why we should give it a try, and let us know if it’s available, through official channels or via some kind soul in fandom. If you want to pimp your favorite character or pairing, go ahead and do that, too.

4. Please include the following in your subject line: Pimp: Name of Fandom by Your Name.

5. To make sure that these pimp posts remain available, please post it here in full, rather than linking to it. You may, of course, post it wherever you want to in addition to posting it here, as it need not be exclusive. If your entry is longer than a few short paragraphs, place everything except a short teaser paragraph behind a cut.

6. You must post your pimpage entry by April 30.

7. As of May 1, all fandoms (including unclaimed, claimed but never pimped, and previously pimped) will once again be open for claiming. Please note, if you sign up for a fandom that’s already been pimped, don’t merely repeat what someone else has already said. Everyone loves a book/series/movie for different reasons, so give us your own unique spin on it: tell us why you like it, delve more deeply into the fandom, pimp another character/pairing....

So, if you’d like to pimp your favorite fandom, please sign up in a comment to this post with your name and the name of the fandom you’d like to pimp.

I'm so sorry! [info]taraljc asked to pimp Gosford Park in the post for last round, but since there was only one day left, I suggested she wait and pimp it this round. I should have put that down, but I was expecting her to sign up in this post, and did not expect anyone else to jump in so quickly. My apologies. :(

Well, I have this community set to notify me by email when a new post goes up, because otherwise I'd probably miss stories :) And I had already been considering pimping GP, but figured I wouldn't get it done before the deadline, so decided to wait for the next round. I'm not surprised [info]taraljc got there first, she's a big fan of the movie :) I'm sure she'll do a wonderful job of it, assuming she's still interested!

God knows there's not enough good Mike/Henry out there, even with all the UST that's just simmering right there for all to see, although I do remember a few notable fics by a lovely writer named spikedluv who really, *really*, should continue a couple of them *whistles innocently*

Black Jewel Trilogy Please....

I came across your blog/site when I was looking for fans of the Black Jewel Trilogy. I don't know if you'd even be interested in joining a roleplay forum based on it, but Jewels of the Blood [http://icedragon02.proboards105.com/index.cgi] is an adult forum I'm currently playing on. 18+ real as can be simulation of the novel's setting, it really has shocked me how well run it is. Apparently (and I would believe it based on 27 unique rpers) they generated 6,000 posts in three months.

That's 6,000 pieces of a user generated BJT plot. Yes, you might think its dorky, but the difference with JOTB is that we set our plots thousands of years before the events of Anne Bishop's Black Jewel Trilogy, and 400 years after. Two "timelines" for Kaeleer, Terreille, and Hell (although Hell is pretty empty :S)

Anyways, if you're interested in channeling any writing energy towards this particular kind of thing, feel free to join with an out of character account and scope around a bit. The DM- silverymage, can answer any questions you might have, as can I.
