*takes deep breath*

The awards for June are FINALLY finished.

I know that I did not put any deadline for the tie voting, but....practically everyone who voted before had already voted again. So, by my order, I declare June's awards voting OVER. It is time to move on.

It is also time to post the awards. Quite frankly, I am disappointed. Disappointed that there's only two sites in the world that offer any good Starlights images that aren't 160x120 or jusst not of crappy quality. I did my best to fit the awards to their respective stories, but I fear that some of them, I was completely unable to fit to their stories (Like, there's no Seiya/*SPOILER PAIRING* smut I could use...)

Anyways, one more thing before we get to the awards. Some of you may notice that your awards don't have links to the stories. There is a reason for this. Due to the recent decisions of Kihin to try and protect the little kids from reading adultish stuff like, say The Better Horse (A cookie for whoever can remember that one!), I myself decided that all rated R and NC-17 winners will not have links from their awards - so if the kiddies REALLY want to read the adult stuff THAT badly, they'll just have to look for it.

NYAAAH NYAAAAAAAAAAAH!! >:P

....That was a bit over the top, wasn't it?

Ah well. To the awards!

And now, for the award I'm sure everyone was gunnung for....CRACK!FIC OF THE MONTH.

This one, in my opinion, was a very, very, very, VERY easy selection. When I first pitched it to Kihin, she laughed and said she knew I'd have picked it...because it was quite cracky. Unfortunately, it was the only one she ended up finding as well.

The problem with that is that the selection might seem very biased to some people, but I can assure you, Kihin did not go "WE MUST PICK THIS ONE!"; it was me who did that. And subsequent readings by both of us of what would be considered cracky, sadly, turned up nothing to trump the crack factor of this particular section. (Sorry, Crystal Usagi, not even "Revelations" was cracky in comparison. Not that it wasn't cracky, though...)

So, without further ado, I give you the CRACK!FIC OF THE MONTH:

So cracky, I couldn't fit the whole title in the award! :D

And there you have it. June's awards, standing tall, standing proud. Still standing despite the fact that our foot structure was permanently wrecked from the black leather heels.

HUZZAH!!

...Wait, I'm fortgetting something! The runners-up!

*stupid*

Congratulations everyone! *munches on her cookie* Wow, I think this is the first month I haven't won a single award. Of course, with competition like that *looks at Kihin, Papi, and Starsea* for characters I must sadly admit I know but can't characterize, I'm not surprised. ^-^

I would probably have picked CrystalUsagi's Seiya/Mamo fic for crackfic, but Stiletto Boy? That was just plain crazy. I have no complaints.

Congratulations again!

I should really just leave it up to Papi to pick the crack fic, and I usually do. Wacky pairing just don't shock me at all. People flipped over Black Lady/Michiru from Kate, and I was all, "What? She did what the theme told her to. Crazy people." And I found neither Stiletto nor Seiya/Mamo to be that cracky. *shrugs*

Really? You didn't think Kate's story was all that cracky? I guess I look at it as did the story make me do a triple take and still not quite believe my eyes. Kate's did, as did CrystalUsagi's. Stiletto just cracked me up (haha, guess that makes it cracky, huh). It was good, off the wall fun that thought outside the box and was therefore a viable choice.

Ack! I sound like I'm at work! Help! hahaha...

Anyway, what I was originally trying to say in my comment was that I didn't think there was any bias there even though I, personally, would have chosen differently. ^-^ That was all.

I just wasn't at all shocked by it, so I didn't see what all the hullabaloo was about. I was like, "Yet another good fic from Kate," and that's about it. I don't know. I guess I'm too hard to shock.

Raya, trust me, nobody is more surprised than me at how many awards I won, or the fact that everyone thinks I write Taiki really well, which is extremely amusing, given that this month is the first time I've written any of the Starlights.

Haha, me, too, which is why I wasn't all that surprised that I came away empty handed. That, and it was a good month for strong stories. You not only wrote Taiki well, you wrote Taiki interaction with other people well. ^-^ You deserved those awards, as did everyone else. *wink* It was just a little sad to see my streak come to an end, hahaha...

Wow... I'm so surprised I won! Haha... I was pretty sure I wouldn't win anything, and was just glad I got nominated! *loves all the banners*

Lol... and no apologies needed. I didn't think Revelations was all that cracky, either. It wasn't supposed to be, in any case. I loved Stiletto, and The Big Bang was a great read. Actually, all the fics were very fun to read. *must read more of them*

!! Thanks so much and congrats to all the other winners. Most of the fics I was rooting for won and that makes me exceedingly pleased. And for the ones that didn't, well, "The Red Flag" and "False Warmth" have their own special place in my heart. :D

Again, thanks so much to everyone. ♥♥♥

Ne, Papi... I was just here getting the url to send a link over to Leni when I realized... Six of the above banners say that they are award winners for May! General, Romance, Drama, Adult, Horror, Original, and Overall. I never noticed it until now. Just thought I would let you know in case you want to correct them.
