What is the symbolism behind blood tears? I've seen it used before but I'm not sure what purpose it serves as a literary device. The story was good but there's something about Michiru's reaction that I don't like. Its at the end where she srughs off what she's assuming about Hotaru; I don't believe she would really do that. Her character seems too mature to right something off as not being possible when anything is possible, more so for Hotaru.

I think it's uesed to convey a severe level of suffering and pain. Tears are tears, but when you put the color of passion and life into them, it just seems to have a stronger effect (that's my guess).

Michiru is very mature, which is why I thought she would try to suppress her questions. She is truly worried about Hotaru, but jumping to conclusions would result in only problems. Her heart says something is wrong, yet she wants to have the support of Haruka and Setsuna as well. If all three of them are concerned, then it's not just her imagination running wild with speculation.

I would agree with your thoughts.

The thing that jarred me was how abruptly she "brushed off" Hotaru and that Hotaru accepted that happily. I don't think she would have accepted a "run along and play now" response instead of a real one with Michiru's reaction (bending down, being worried, asking questions). Hotaru is four or five, but an intelligent/observant one I think. I think she would have looked for a little more reassurance that everything was okay before running off happily.

But, in spite of that one little jar, a very nice story!

wow, i really liked that one, i would hope to see more of it, but I guess it works better as single story. I loved teh blood tears symbol. Great job!

Yeah! A fight! I like the inclusion of the bystanders. People would do such stupid things, particularly reporters, hahaha.

I like the introduction of not so innocent bystanders. I mean really people should have more respect for the senshi. Great job!
