A Few New Additions  
1) We are now accepting fanart in addition to fanfiction.  In terms of completing the monthly challenges, you are welcome to submit all fic, all art, or a combination of both.  And in terms of awards, we will hold a seperate nomination post and poll.  For now, we'll hold a poll without categories.  If we wind up getting lots and lots of art and we have the capabilities of making categories, we'll do so.  I'll also be adjusting the sidebar, comm info, and submission forms to reflect this change.

2) So I don't kill [info]seniumboy with this new project, I am now in search of an Art Moderator.  All you'd really have to do is put up the nom post and the poll, so it won't be a job that requires a lot of stress.  Also, please make sure that all R and NC-17 art is hosted off-site and linked elsewhere, though I imagine most artists will do that regardless of the rating.

3) The concrete deadline for turning in submissions for awards is the last day of the following month.  So the deadline for turning in fics for Minako month is August 31st should you want your work to be eligible for nominations.

4) Feel free to pimp!  If you want to advertise the community, feel free to use the little image I've posted.  I'll most likely start making little banners corresponding with each month so that people can keep up-to-date with what we're doing.

Everyone knows it's Minako's dream to be an idol, but we also know it's very unlikely she'll actually achieve that dream. So write a fic where Minako's in a career that is not a singer, model, actress, etc.

Amazed I Haven't Thought of This Before...  

I was browsing some fanart on DeviantArt, and one of them was a picture of Minako and the others playing volleyball.  And I thought, oh, we just did that theme, how fun.  And then I had an idea that may or may not be a stroke of genius.

How would you guys feel if we opened up submissions to fanart?

The only conflict I can see right now is the awards... but I think we could have a seperate award cycle where perhaps rather than dividing it up into categories, we just have people nominate their favorite art.  And then there'd only be one poll.  Unless after awhile there become ways to divide it up... but either way, looking at a piece of art doesn't take anywhere near as much time as reading a longish fic.

So, thoughts?
