Welcome to our little corner of LiveJournal known as the Sailor Moon Monthly Fanfiction Challenge! Every month will be designed around a different character, pairing, or type of character. Then, half of the month will have daily themes. The other half of the month will be left open for you to write about. We hope you enjoy this community!

rules
1. All writings must be Sailor Moon related. Manga, anime, and PGSM are all acceptable. You are also allowed to write crossovers.

2. All writings must feature that month's character.

3. Participants are welcome to submit more than one ficlet for a theme; however, that ficlet will not be admissable for the fifteen-odd writer's choice ficlets.

4. Every day, a moderator will post a theme. Writers will respond to that theme in the comments of the post with either the actual story or a link to the story. There is no time limit on submissions.

5. Ficlets should be 100+ words excluding poetry.

6. No plagarism and no drama.

7. Please post all R and NC-17 fiction to your personal journal and leave a link rather than leaving it directly in the comment.

8. All R or NC-17 fiction involving explicit sexual relations with a minor are prohibited.

1. There are absolutely no time limits on completing the challenges. You may start/continue/finish any of the monthly challenges at any time.

2. Deadlines for the awards are the 19th of the following month. So, the deadline for January stories would be February 19th.

Nomination Notice

Sadly, we only have 2 nominations turned in, which isn't enough. We need to have at least four sets of nominations to start the voting process, so I'm extending the date to turn in nominations to Wednesday 14th, 11:59 PST. March 2008 Nominations

I suppose it's about time we got on to nominations now huh? :p For those with bad memories such as myself, March was the month of characters, where every theme was simply a character to write on. It was a promising month, one I wish I had gotten to join in on. I guess there's always next time...

Now on to the rules for this month. Please remember too make sure the story you're nominating qualifies under the given rules listed below. We've had a few entries in recent months that shouldn't have been submitted and could run the risk of complicating things when it comes time to voting. Check the date the story was posted, make sure the title is correct, things like that so everything runs smoothly.

( Honestly we need another month of all character themes! )

Rare Pair Assignments

Here are your assignments!

For those interested, rather than do it first come=first serve, I assigned each participant a number according to when they requested their pairing. Then, I went to random.org and did a Number Sequence Generator, so that the fifteen participants' numbers got jumbled completely randomly. Then I went down the line and assigned the pairings according to your choices. Assignments are listed in the order your number appeared in the sequence.

Not everyone received their first choice, so I would like to remind all players that if you don't think you can participate at least a few times in the challenge, let me know now and then maybe someone else can get your first choice. I'd really prefer it if I see several fics from all of you though, so please please participate this month!

You can still sign up for a pairing! Either ask here or at the original post. I'll be picking my pairing later tonight. ^_^ Also, it's all right to still change your mind, but only if you haven't started writing fics yet AND if no one else has asked for the pairing you'd like to change to.
