Welcome one and all to Yet Another Sailor Moon Icontest! We hope to have lots of fun in this community as well as flex our iconning skills, so get cracking!

Rules
1. Sailor Moon or Codename wa Sailor V manga, anime, and PGSM are acceptable. Fanart, doujinshi and cosplay are not.
2. Two icons per username unless otherwise noted.
3. No larger than 100x100 and 40KB.
4. No advertising.
5. No stealing.
6. No drama.

1. Vote for three icons that you feel are the best overall.
2. Vote for one icon in the special category (Best Coloring, Best Caption, etc.)

Week 196 Submission

Secret Santa:
We are in fact doing the secret santa this week! I already had a post about it, so basically just post here with your preferred method of contact, and I'll send you further info that way. Sign-ups for the secret santa will close at midnight on Sunday so info can be distributed by Monday. I know this leaves only a short amount of time to sign-up, but let's have a great turn-out anyway! Sign ups are closed! :) Everyone should have their Secret Santa, just submit your icons to THIS post when you're done ;)

We'll still also have some other themes, so that you guys can still submit three icons if you choose ;)

Your icon can show snow or mention it in some way! It won't be hush this week since there's no lyrical theme this week.

Technical issues...

I think Livejournal's going through some formatting issues (I tried richtext and html.. but both are acting a little strange)... so the new theme will be up late today, but I am planning on doing the Secret Santa since there was fairly good interest, so if all who are planning on participating could comment here, I'll send some information out by LJ message (or email, if you leave your email) with some details so we can get started ;)
EDIT -- I'm going to close sign-ups on Monday the 21st, so that you guys will still have a little less than a week to make your icons. ^_^;;;

I've seen some comms doing a Secret Santa lately, and I was wondering if you guys would be interested in doing the same? Basically this would involve describing one of your favorite characters/episodes/manga images of sailor moon, and someone makes you an icon of it, and you do the same for someone in return. If interest is high we'll do it next week, if not we'll just post a normal theme

I looked over the results of the poll along with the amount of submissions this week, and it looks like you guys either prefer the new theme style, or don't really care. (hey! >.>) So looks like things will be sticking this way ;D

Week 195 Submission

EDIT --- since I forgot to mention what combination of the themes for the icons submitted, I'll allow whatever combination you guys choose to do this week :D So if you want to submit three icons to one theme feel free to do so. But I will strongly encourage variation ;)

Hush Theme: Eyes Wide Shut
The character(s) in your icon must have their eyes shut (at least their eyes that are showing in the icon). And remember it must be hush!

Lyrical Theme: "Not Alone" from "A Very Potter Musical" (I hope you guys enjoy this one! ;D)

We're moving up a bit...

Hi there! Time for a little community announcement before we announce the next theme tomorrow.

After a short debate between teh mods, we have finally decided to change the submission post format a bit.

From now on we will be having three themes for each week - to give you all some more space to icon. We've noticed the decrease of entries lately so we thought that maybe you wanted more icon-able material.

Also, this means that the

tcg_exchange prize arrangements will change a little:

1 icon - 2 cards
2 icons - 3 cards
3 icons - 4 cards

Yes! We have a max of three icons allowed starting Friday, December 4th!

We hope that you're all just as excited about this as we are, but that remains to be seen...tomorrow! *dum dum dum dum*

Week 192 Extension

I'm going to extend Week 192's challenge, water, since it only has 4 entries, until tomorrow night. However, it could be later since I might be enjoying some birthday festivities, but either way, I'd like to have at least 6 entries before we hold voting so let's... make that happen! ;D
