The sun warmed his eyes. He wanted to pull the covers over his head, avert it's glare and the ugliness of the hideaway room. He opened his eyes in spite of himself.

She had been up. Long hair draped her back as she put her robes on. The color reminded him of sunlight: golden brown, transforming a room from bleak to lovely.

He rubbed his left forearm without thinking. The mark had faded. Hermione turned to look at Theodore, her eyes passionate with conviction and promise. She kissed him, as tainted as he was, and Theodore knew she was home.

The morning after his transformation was full of pain, as always. Remus moaned as he sat up, narrowing his eyes by the blinding rays of the morning sun.

Draco wasn’t with him, as always. The boy didn’t like seeing him in this poor state, but Remus could not blame him. Actually, he preferred that Draco didn’t see him so weak.

Outside the room, the corridor wasn’t empty for a change. Remus smiled. Draco slept peacefully in a Summoned armchair, blanket covering everything but his head.

As always, Remus forgot all his pain by the sight of Draco worrying about him.

Ginny walked out of the bathroom, completely drenched. "I think we need to fix the bathroom sink."

Draco frowned. "The sink, too?" He asked, looking to the cabinet he was trying to fix as he sighed softly. "Why couldn't we take some of my parent's money?"

Ginny walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him, unconcerned that she was getting him wet as well. "We wanted to do this on our own."

"I know."

“The couch is big enough for both of us,” Draco said, smiling temptingly.
