19 pages + cover in the 24 hours, so I guess this is (another) Gaiman variation.

Likewise...I feel like I should apologize for not being more social when you were hanging out at our table during the 22nd hour. (I was furiously trying to scribble together some kind of ending.) No worries--these events don't seem to be terribly social beyond one's table, unless you already know the artist.

Jason! (or should I say, Cabin Boy! (no. no I shouldn't. I don't know the origins of it.)) Way to pull it off. I'm so impressed that you stuck it out ... so much better than I did. Seriously, the ending is so great. I love A) the girl who hugs the wookurtle, and B) the bow in the wookurtle's hair. BTW, fish are funny, but not as funny as jam. Jam is never not funny.

AND- I'm so glad you agree that arugula solves everything. Did you know that in England arugula is called "rocket." Tell me that that's not an interesting tid-bit for this little were-space-opera. And zucchini are called courgettes.

This is really great. Completely ridiculous and completely great.

Thanks, Jeff. If you've sussed out "Cabin Boy," then you've probably read the comments thread that explains the origins, so no worries. A friend of mine just singlehandedly nicknamed me for the entire Boston metropolitan area, it seems, which is no small feat.

I'm glad everyone is posting theirs! It's odd, even though I sat across from you and looked at your story periodically, it really takes a sober mind to take it all in. I like it a lot. The ending is the best. Or, the fact that Star Wars quoting brings out the demon in the fish...I'm not sure. It's all pretty great, though. We'll do this again!
