Okay people...
It was brought to my attention that a lot of icons have been taken from here without giving the creator proper credit. It saddens me since we all put a lot of work and thought into the icons we make, so credit and recognition is deserved. If you see anyone using an icon that came from here without given credit, please do inform them of it and what they can do to fix it.

If you do not know how to credit the icons you use,

First go to your Edit User Pictures page. (Found by going to Manage --> User Pictures)

Scroll down until you see Upload a New Picture. (If you're at your limit, you may have to delete one of your icons before you are able to upload a new one.) It should look similar to the screenshot below:



Click the "Browse" button to find the icon you want to use. In the keywords box, type in a word that will help you remember which icon it is. Afterwards, credit the icon's creator by typing in their live journal handle or their icon journal.

Additionally, you may give credit in the comments area. Here, LiveJournal allows you to use LJ-specific tags, so I recommend you type something like the following:

by tarahime

(or)

by tarahime at slayersicons

This way it allows viewers to visit the community directly to find icons they'd like to use as well! :D

When you're done, click the "Proceed" button, and LiveJournal does the rest for you.
