AboutWelcome to Slayers Contest!
The Community has changed! Since bi-weekly contests seemed to kill this community dead, I’ve decided to change the nature of the contests here. From now on, we will be doing very laid-back rounds of submitting fiction with 15 themes of fanfiction each round. When you have finished all 15 themes, you will receive a banner for your hard work, and then the first person to complete the first round will be able to pick the next 15 themes for Round 2.
After the first year, I will be checking to see all who’s finished the first round, and out of all those entries, we will decide best overall, and the winner of that will receive a gift certificate to their favorite store (hopefully a store I can find around Chicago to get it), courtesy of your mod. XD
Rules for joining:
1) All drabbles or one-shots pertaining to the themes must be 200 words and over. Anything under 200 words will not qualify toward your themes.
2) Everything must be LJ-cut! No exceptions! Please don't clutter up people's F-lists. If you do not know how to do an LJ-cut, please see the LJ cut mechanics at the FAQs.
3) All pairings, genres, and ratings are welcome. If you have adult content in your drabble or one-shot, please use a warning in your format when posting. NO BELLYACHING ABOUT THE PAIRINGS! YOUR RIGHTS ARE PRETTY MUCH FREE HERE!
4) All pimpings of other Slayers (or Lost Universe) related communities or events on LJ, DeviantART, and any other website is acceptable. If you want to pimp a community or event that pertains to another fandom or original fiction, please ask my permission.
5) I shouldn't have to remind people of this, but PLEASE let's all act mature and not engage in any drama. Do not harrass, flame, or start a fight with others on pairings, subject matter, or anything else. If you have a problem with someone, come to me. Otherwise, general asshatery will get you banned. We can have fun and give people constructive criticism without being mean about it. HAVE A GOOD TIME!
6) Constructive Criticism: Comments are STRONGLY encouraged on the drabbles. We're all here to practice our writing and feedback helps in a big way. Constructive criticism is acceptable but do not engage in pointless snark. Be courteous as well as helpful! ^^
9) Banners for completed themes will be 400 x 100 pixels using a character by the choice of the author.
10) Format to use above your lj-cut
In the Subject line, please put the particular theme and your LJ name.

Pairings or Characters: Please try to give all pairings/characters a chance for reading. All pairings and characters are permissable.
