thanks to journalkitten, who sent a very cute and cheerful ME card with a slogan I think I must adopt: "too much of a good thing is WONDERFUL" along with a note, she included a book of stamps. they're the new 'love' stamps, inspired by playing card (the king & queen of hearts) which means mail WILL be sent soon!

I completely neglected to say 'thank you!!!!" to mabiana for the lovely Springy, sparkily, lily-of-the-valley card....really beautiful and cheery and one of my very favorite Spring flowers (tied with Hyacinths). My mother had a bed of them and loved them....I have some of hers, now.
Thank you, again.

Thanks mabiana for the pretty Spring card with a fairy and lots of glitter! Just what I needed to brighten up an otherwise rainy & dreary day.

I owe mabiana an apology, because last week she sent a lovely lily of valley fairy postcard, with sparkles!!!! I love lilies of the valley, because they remind me of my grandmother, who had a large bed by the walk, and whose perfume smelled sorta like L of the V as well.

I don't think I ever said thank you for these three beautiful cards that are still on my desk, making me happy at this very moment: this fabulous Victorian Valentine of a bubble-blowing child from quextico, a beautiful picture of the Dallas skyline seen in the distance behind a field of wildflowers from kaytee4ever, and a perfectly smutty valentine on dirty conversation hearts from dine.
♥ all of you.

| Any interest in art cards? |

I finally got some of my paintings scanned in and posted. Whee! I have two more to update on the page tonight. You can see it here: http://www.kathytulley.com/Art/index.html
I just got some 4x6 little glossy pages to print on. Is anyone interested in receiving some of my art printed on one of these little cards?
Just let me know. :)
ETA: I added some of my art thumbnails as icons. Really love this one.
ALSO, lately, I have been hand painting little almond tins and then filling the tins with spiced nuts (using pumpkin pie spice blend, with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger, then dusted with a bit of splenda or erythritol.
If anyone is interested in receiving one of these handpainted tins with the spiced almonds, let me know. One to a customer person. Restrictions May apply. May take weeks for delivery. :)

I got surprise mail from quextico yesterday - a padded envelope containing the best magnet! It's an illustration from an old Dick & Jane reader of a little boy to the side of two girls; the center girl is turned away from him toward the other little girl. The caption below - "Jane knows Connie. She doesn't care to know Dick". I fell over laughing, and it went on my file cabinet immediately. It's funny because it's true, but also because those books were still the readers in use when I entered school, so I'm very familiar with (and slightly nostalgic for) their whitewashed version of 50s America that never really existed.
