| About: | Welcome to the Romance Novel Slash Challenge. This is a multi-fandom challenge -- or rather, an any fandom challenge. The challenge is simple enough; comment with your name and fandom, and I will link you to a published romance novel that you must in some way base your fic off of. There is absolutely no need to buy and read the novel I assign (but if you want to, hey, whatever floats your boat); what you're actually looking at is the description or blurb posted on the site. The fic doesn't have to be a carbon-copy of the plot and characters the novel includes; I encourage you to be creative, to put a spin on things, but always to use the novel as a baseline for your fic. Rules: - The challenge officially starts March 30th. The new challenge start date is April 30th. - The due date for all fic is July 30th. The new due date is August 30th. - You cannot post the fic anywhere but on this community until September 1st. The new date for posting the fic other places is October 1st. - Fics must be a minimum of 3,000 words (there is no maximum, and in fact the longer the fic, the better). - Your fic must incorporate something of the assigned novel. This is not negotiable. However, if you absolutely hate the novel assigned to you, email me (ginandironic[at]gmail.com) and we will talk. - Fics must be beta-read before posted. - You can post your fic as a WiP if you like. - Use the following header when posting: Author: Title: Rating: Fandom: Romance Novel Assigned: Pairing: Summary: Disclaimer: Notes: That's everything.
