| About: | Bio written by our very own ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} serena1977SlamConnection was born, originally, as a yahoogroup on January 17 2000. I (Serena Barletta) was part of another group dedicated to decoswapping, even if I never swapped a deco in my life! I was invited by a friend and, as soon as I discovered how yahoogroups worked, I thought about founding a group for slamswappers :) The name, SlamConnection, came very spontaneously to my mind...I never had a doubt about it :) My idea was welcomed with enthusiasm and all the swappers that I invited accepted to join the group. We organized games and swaps and were a chatty bunch of people. Over the years things changed...not only for us but for the whole yahoogroups-scenario. Many people migrated to lj where everyone can have their own blog and at the same time interact with others. It happened slowly but evidently so, after seeing the yahoo-SC become silent and inactive, I totally welcomed Linda's idea to create a SlamConnection community on LJ and I am happy to see it being born again and being lively and chatty again :) swappermeeting photos | ||
