Welcome tosingle_101! A community for people who are single!
Tell us about what you do on weekends to keep busy. Share your tips for cooking for just you. Tell us your favorite places to meet new people. Are your friends sick of hearing that funny story about that blind date you went on? Tell us! We'd love to hear about it. Did you find a funny article online about dating and want to share it with someone? Post it here. It doesn't really matter what you post about, as long as it relates to the positive aspects of being single and the single life. Please read over our community rules as well as our mod posts before posting.
The Rules:
1.) Do not delete posts and don't delete/screen/freeze/disable comments. This goes for both posters and commenters. You will be banned for this without any warning. You may not get the responses you want to your post. People will let you know if they disagree with something you say. If you can't handle that, think twice before you post about a possibly controversial topic.
2.) Don't make negative posts about other members. No bashing/mocking/complaining. We're here to support one another not start more drama. Harassment, blatant disrespect, and threats towards other members will lead to you being permanently banned.
3.) Don't troll! If you feel the need to troll, head over totroll_showcase. Those who disrupt the community will be banned. Spam or porn posted here will be deleted and reported to LJ Abuse.
4.) Please put extremely long posts, or big pictures (greater than 300 pixels on each side) behind an LJ-Cut. (Believe it or not people do still use dial-up!)
5.) Please don't use this community to promote your community. The mods may sometimes make exceptions if you contact one of us and we feel your community is relevant to our community interests.
6.)single_101 is not a matchmaking community - we are here to support each other and discuss being single. Any "add me" posts will be automatically deleted. However, it is okay to post about a meetup you've organized or are planning on attending.
7.) Think before you post. If you don't want your post making it tostupid_free then friends lock it. Friendly snarking of posts here is fine. Discussion and debate is fine. Snarking or reposting locked posts outside the community is not. Taking debate/arguments back to a members personal journal is also not okay.
8.) The community is no longer on moderated posting. We would like the community to maintain a positive feel. Please keep the rants and complaints for your personal journals. Questions on dating or posts asking for advice are welcome but please check to see if your situation has been discussed recently before posting.
9.) This is a community for people who are single. As in, not currently in a relationship. Please respect that and don't join the community if you're not single. There are communities for open marriages and long distance relationships. If that is the sort of place you're looking for, ask a mod and we'll be more than happy to direct you to the right place.
