| Geeky help with the Sims 2 |

Help! I want to turn off jealousy in my Sims. I downloaded a hack called Magical Keumungo which is a musical instrument that toggles jealousy on and off. I installed in it the correct folder and when I load up the game it tells me that there is now custom content in my game. But I don't know where to find the object to put it in my game!
Any ideas? Or alternative hacks to stop jealousy?

Hey Simmers at large!
I was wondering if someone could help me find some custom content for my Sims 2 game. I have all the expansion packs released thus far, so compatibly is not an issue. I am willing to pay for CC if need be. With all that in mind, here is my request.
I'm looking for all things Smallville for my Sims 2.

Hi!
I only have the base game and University so far. No stuff packages. I've been downloading custom content like a crazy person and have had a couple of misshaps. Still, I can't help myself...GOTTA DOWNLOAD! I just think the custom content adds so much to the game. Anyway, some of the clothes I download are all wonky in the game. I mean when you select the outfit or whatever, on the sim it's kind of zig zaggy. Any advice as to how to fix that, did I do something wrong? Or is it just not gonna work and should I just delete them?

Hi, I'm new here, been playing Sims 2 for... well it feels like ages, but since it came out I guess. I'm fairly well addicted, have a lot of expansions and stuff packs, if I'm not spending hours building and decorating houses, I'm probably making families and giving them grandkids and stuff... anyway I just wanted to say g'day, but really I'm after a bit of help:
I'm looking for formal skins for my female adult sims, that are NOT dresses. Basically I'm after formal outfits that are suits, tuxedos, that sort of thing. I know there's sort of business suit skins in the everyday wear but I'm after something a bit more slick for special occasions. Just not a dress/skirt ensemble.

Came accross this because mts2 is on downtime. This section of the community links to literally EVERYWHERE! A lot of the sites are in german or other forgien languages, but in most cases the layouts seem pretty instinctive. I've found so much stuff!

Some of these links may have been mentioned before but I wanted to draw attention to them. All of these are 100% free, of course. I wouldn't post them if they weren't. As you know, paysites are horrible.
SimPE is a poweful tool that can help you modify objects as well as your game: http://sims.ambertation.de/
Insimenator is also a powerful tool that can help you do cool things in-game. (NOTE: There are still problems with it working with Seasons but these are being resolved):

While you're there, be sure to snag Enyala's skins. They are amazing! She has her own forum there. You can also see her work on MTS2. I was on her art forum back in the day so I was thrilled to see her making beautiful things for The Sims 2.

| An important note about paysites - don't be ripped off! |

It once again came to my attention that Sims 2 users are being ripped off even MORE by paysites.
DO NOT EVER pay for custom content for The Sims 2 unless it is packaged in a box and sold by Electronic Arts. ALL paysites violate the Electronic Arts TOS and EA is finally starting to shut them down.

So, what can you do to stop the blantant violation of EA's TOS in the name of personal greed?
1. Donate to FREE ONLY sites. If they make you pay to access forums or any content, DON'T PAY. WALK AWAY. And rest assured that their content is being hosted elsewhere for free. If you want it, don't give them a dime- download it for free!
2. Get off The Sims Resource. It has ripped off numerous, numerous people. Don't download their crap from there, and don't take out a subscription. Want to know how bad TSR is and how poorly they treat their contributors? Read this.
3. If you make custom content, make sure to specify that your content is to be kept FREE. A lot of paysites rip free content from free sites and then turn around and SELL IT. The Sims Warehouse forum is especially guilty of this.

Hello, everyone! I just joined, I love custom content for my Sims 2! I currently have University and just acquired Nightlife. I would just love to have realistic sims of all my friends and also myself. I was wondering, does anybody know of some (free) sites that take requests? Or, possibly, is there anyone on here who wouldn't mind creating a sim from photos? Also, I love to have realistic-looking celebrity/ tv /movie/ book character sims in my game, especially the following:

| Grand Opening of New Sims2 Free Site! |

We're pleased to announce the opening of Sims2 Creators Corner, an all new free content site for the Sims2.
In our downloads section we have updates in every category. In the Body category we have six pages of beautiful items by artist JulietteRose. In the Build category is a set of warm and worn stucco walls by artist csl. In the Buy category we have a page of quilt bedding by the multi-talented JulietteRose. In the Hoods category we have a new terrain for your game, 5 contemporary lots in the Lots category and a medieval castle lot in the Themes category, all by artist csl.
We expect to update the site fairly regularly (at least once per month) so friend or bookmark the lj blog for updates!

Hello there!!
I hope you all don't mind this post, but I'm currently looking for some advice from anyone with experience of creating for the Sims2 game. I've done basic things such as recolours before, skins, eyes, objects, but I am currently going to undertake my first real project. I'm creating a Cyberman, a Dalek and a Weevil for my Torchwood/Doctor Who game, and a few other people who are not quite as insane or as bored as me.
I've got MilkShape (though I've been told this isn't a great program to use due to it's limitations) and am reading through a few modding walkthroughs tonight before attempting some basic adjustments to a helmet I already have downloaded to make it more of the right shape for a cyberman (wish me luck!). But still, I am a total novice and would welcome any advice, links or general pointers anyone can give.

While I was fighting a migraine this afternoon, I went ahead and created makeup Caste Marks for Solar Exalted characters if you wanted to make such a thing for the Sims.
Currently, I've been rejected over at ModtheSims2.com, however that doesn't stop me from trying again at some point. This were done fairly quickly, and are my first actual modded content from scratch. I've put up a page on my website (or the version of it I'm working on still) if you're interested.
