AboutThis community was founded for one simple purpose: reccing good legacies because, let's face it, there are more posts for legacies than many can even keep up with. Fanfiction has rec communities for this purpose so The Legacy challenge should as well.
Have you ever read a really entertaining legacy that, for some reason or other, just wasn't getting as much attention that you feel it deserves? Have you wanted to help out but didn't know how? Worried about posting a secret over how much you like it so it'd get more recognition but then didn't want the author being blamed for it? Ever feel too shy to leave a comment but would still love to shout to the world how much you enjoy those updates? Well, this is the community for you.
RULES: No questions about game play or content. This community is for reccing legacies only. No sharing custom content, asking about custom content, or questions regarding the game. There are plenty of other places for those sorts of posts.
No drama, please. This community is NOT about stirring rivalries and jealousy, we're just here to cheer our favorite families. No trolling or bullshit or pettiness. If I see any of that, the unmoderated posting will become moderated.
When reviewing a legacy, please give as much detail about it as you can, including its entertainment value, the quality of the pictures, and how well-written the text is if you prefer. No need to write a book report. Just a small paragraph will suffice. Provide a link that will allow new vistors to find all the posts without trouble. This could be an archive link, or the tags. Snapshots will not be required so do not include any snapshots in the review.
What sort of legacies are to be recced? Any whatsoever. Plain ol' fashioned legacy challenge legacy or challenges that pertain to it, like the prosperity challenge or uglacy, or anything at all. As long as it has to do with the legacy challenge.
Not all legacies need to be on LJ. You can recommend legacies from all over the net, on message boards, the Sims 2 website, wherever you've discovered a good one. Just make sure that wherever you've recommended it, that you provide a link to it that will allow the reader to find all the posts easily.
You can recommend as many as you want but more than three recs will need to be put under a cut.
Posting is open and unmoderated, same as joining, the only thing I ask is members simply behave respectably and try to format their reviews as well as they can, but do not interfere with the default format of posts, this includes size and color of fonts and alignment. Keep alignment on the default left.
No recommending your own legacy. As much as you'd like to advertise it that way, you'll have to wait for someone else to do it for you.
Try your best to be objective when choosing a legacy to recommend. It's all I can really ask.
