Sims2_Planning



This is a community for Sims 2 players to showcase their “hand built” creations – and the only limitation is your imagination.

Please, feel free to post pictures of your prized creations – your beautiful homes, historical churches, University dorms, Malls, Libraries, Parks, Landscaping, famous landmarks…Everything and anything you’re proud of!

But please, before you do, read the rules :)



Rules



1. )Please keep all posts related to the community – it must concern the designing/building of residential or community lots in the Sims 2 (including university lots). This means you may post about the exterior of buildings, landscaping created, interior design – anything involved in the building and designing of where you sims live or visit. You can post about new meshes or object sets you've created or recoloured, or ones that just look really good in your home and you want to show off! Walls and floors you've made are also welcome :)
You can also include any guides you’ve written to help with the building/designing of said lots or objects/walls/floors.

2. )This means no posts about beautiful Sims you’ve created, or ugly ones that have appeared! There are already communities you can join that deal with this aspect of the game, try checking out the links at the bottom of the profile if you’re curious.

3. )Technical questions about the game could be better asked in other larger communities such as thesims2 but any questions about build or buy mode within the game, or problems encountered while creating architectural masterpieces may of course be posted.

(Basically, keep on topic!)

4. )As most posts will contain pictures, it is requested that you only have ONE picture outside of an lj-cut. Any other pictures included must go under the cut – if you don’t know how to do that, check out this link – lj-cut FAQ

5.) Impressed with other people's work? You may post links to any houses or lots others have created, to show the community. But remember to ask the creator for permission first, and to always link back to the original creator.

6. )Lastly, please, have respect for all who post – we were all new to the game once.



Contests



Themed contests will occur each month, and a poll will be created at the end of the month so people may vote for the winner and runner-up. You may not vote for your own entry to win either first place or runner-up.

Rules for each contest will be laid out here in the user info, and in a post in the community, at the start of each month.

CONTESTS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE



Things Come in all Shapes and Sizes! - create a unique lot including at least four of the shapes listed below!


- Star
- Triangle (any kind)
- Diamond
- Kite
- Octagon
- Pentagon
- Square


Contest 2 Rules:

1.) You can use as much money as you like.

2.) It can be on any lot size or type.

3.) Anything goes, as long as at least FOUR of the above shapes can be clearly seen.

4.) You may enter TWO different lots. However, you are only allowed to enter one lot of the same type. E.g. You could enter a residential lot and a community lot, but not two residential lots. For the sake of this rule there are four lot types - community, downtown, university and residental.

The community will take it on trust that the rules have been followed, but if anyone is suspicious of a contestant cheating contact a moderator.

Entering:

To enter your home in the contest, simply make a post in community with the subject heading of “Shapes Contest Entry”. Within that post please include:

1.) Clear pictures of each shape created must be included, with labels about which shapes were used. You can include any other pictures you want on top of that.

*This competition is not about the amount spent on your lot, or the size of the building built - it's about how unique it is! And remember, it's all about fun!*
