AboutAt Simply Bases we specialise in simple, plain bases for icons/avatars so if you are looking for a pic, but cant be bothered/find the ideal one for what you have in mind, this community is for you!
The Rules
Every community has rules, and ours is no exception. Please follow these at all times, and there will be no trouble ;)
Using
- Please respect the respective rules of the icon creators. Most of us here will not require credit, however, if the bases were screencaps taken by the poster, or if they did any additional customization to the base and request that credit is given, please do so accordingly.
- Should you take a base, please make sure you comment on the thread from which you took it so we know who is using them.
Sharing
- If you would like to share some bases that you have made, if you intend posting more than three please make sure you place them behind an lj cut. If you do not know how to do these, please refer to here to find out how.
- All bases must be free from text, unanimated and either gif, jpg or png format.
- All posts must be bases only. No icons here, please.
- Bases can be whatever size suits you best, but no larger than 100x100.
- Any bases you share must be your own work. Even with bases, theft isn't acceptable.
Requests
- Feel free to request bases of specific themes / people etc, however, unless a poster specifies in their post that they would be happy to customise, please do not request customizations as this is not the aim of the community.
Direct linking
- Dont do it! If you are taking something please make sure you upload to your own server. No-one likes a bandwidth thief.
Advertising
- BIG no to this. Not only are advertisement posts annoying but they are also disrespectful. Posting them will not be tolerated.
- Please don't post a couple of bases then direct people to your own journal for the rest. This is nothing more than advertising your icon journal / community, and would fall under the above rule.
Member Interaction
- One rule here. BE NICE. No drama, no whining, no bad language (unless on a specifically customised icon in which case it should be placed behind an lj cut with an appropriate warning). We all want to be happy bunnies here. People causing trouble will be out on their ear.
Failure to comply with any of these very basic rules will result in a warning. Three warnings and you are out. Moderators reserve the right to ban any member at their discretion.
We dont ask a lot from the members, so i think rule breakers should be dealt with accordingly.
