About:

Simply100 is a clean 100 icon challenge. Your goal is to make 100 icons of your chosen subject. Of those 100 icons, 15 must relate in some way to a favorite poem, song, or quote. But, more importantly, the goal is that you will have fun. That is why we have no time limit in this community, and are keeping the rules fairly relaxed. By letting you make your choices for both the subject and the poem, you have the opportunity to make something particularly creative and personal.

Membership to this community is by invitation only.

How It Works:
1. Join the community.
2. Leave a comment here to claim your subject.
3. Follow instructions carefully and make 100 icons of your subject, posting them either all at once or a minimum of 20 at a time.
4. If you have completed all 100 icons, comment here. You will then receive a banner award for completing the set.

The Rules:
1. If you don't think you could make 100 icons of one subject, you may combine two interests - and no, they don't have to be connected. :) The main idea here is for you to have fun, so I thought I would allow this.
2. No nudity, slash, porn, suggestive or explicit content. And no bad language. Any posts with offensive content will be deleted, at my discretion. If you are unsure, check with me [chiffonwings] before posting.
3. Your icons may include things other than the subject you have chosen, but your subject should remain the major part of the icon. (For example, a movie character could have another character in an icon but the focus of the icon would have to be on your chosen character, or if you chose to do a set of 100 cat icons you could include dogs or people, but the cat would have to be the focus of the icons.)
4. Don't use pictures that are not related to your subject. For example, if you choose to make icons from a character in a movie, don't make icons of the actor/actress.
5. Please put your icons behind a cut. They can be fake cuts, but make sure you have one. You may post up to 4 teasers. As said above, 20 icons is the minimum number of icons you are allowed to post in one post. All 100 icons at once is preferable, but at least post 20 at a time. Also, please keep the numbering consistent with a full 100 post - instead of numbering them 1-20 each time, say 1-20, 21-40, 41-70, etc.
6. Please make new icons for the community, don’t just gather 100 icons you have made in the past and call it a set.
7. You may use animation in your icons, including mini-movies.
8. Out of the 100 icons you make, at least 15 of them must relate in some way to a favorite poem. Song lyrics and favorite quotes may also be used, but poems are strongly encouraged as first choice. Please include the poem, quote, or song lyrics in your post with your completed icons, underneath the cut.
9. We have no limits regarding the time it takes to make your icon set but it would be appreciated if you could make them within a reasonable amount of time - 6-8 months or something - if only so that you don't forget to make them. ;) We currently have no limits on the amount of people who can claim the same subject. We do ask however that you don't claim the same subject twice in a row.
