silverscreenfic, the best place on LJ to fill your need for fanfiction based on the classics. We welcome all fanfiction, icons, images and banners based on films released before 1970, and are extremely slash-friendly. In fact, brownie points for anyone who can furnish me with good Rebel Without a Cause slash. I'm going to tentatively say we are Real People Slash-friendly as well for the time being. I don't see why we can't include it unless it causes problems. We also welcome discussion of classic films, recommendations or requests for various types of fic. This is your community. Have fun with it!

1) Be polite. We are all decent, civilised people here, so let's try and act like it.
2) No quiz results. At all. This means you.
3) If you want to post large images, lots of small images, anything over 500 words, or anything with an R or NC-17 rating, please use an LJ cut and appropriate warnings.
4) If you liked something, say so! We all love the feedback.
5) Try to stay on topic.
6) DO use your spellcheck! DON'T drop authorial notes in the middle of your story; this always looks dumb. If you're not sure about anything, get someone to beta read for you.
Feel free to pimp related communities and websites, and suggest some more things to go under "interests".

- PG: Mild swearing and kissing and angst allowed. Ages 8+.
- PG-13: More swearing, mild violence, fooling around or references to sex. Ages 13+
- R: Lots of swearing, violence, and/or "onscreen" sex. Ages 17+.
- NC-17: Explicit sex and/or graphic violence. Adult audience only.
Pairings: Who is (or wants to be) with whom?
Other Characters: Anyone else who isn't paired.
