One of my favorite slash pairings in the Buffy fandom is Giles/Xander. And two of the writers whose work I enjoy the most often work together to produce some serious quality fanfic. So tonight, I bring you one of their long co-written fics.

Conspiracy Theory Part 1/12 by mireille719 and soft_princess - all the parts link together from this first entry.

It's long and plotty, post season seven, with a mystery and a slow building romance. It's rated FRT which means there's nothing explicit, but it proves the rule that sex scenes aren't the only thing that's sexy and that plotty fic can be well thought out and rich and wonderful. I love this fic so much, and I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do.

It's an amazing fic in the Anita Blake fandom that concentrates on the love and anger between Jean-Claude and Asher. Amazingly sexy and just a bit sad. You'll enjoy it - I swear :)

It's an awesome crossover fic with the pairing of Riddick/Ronon where Riddick fell through a tear in reality into the Pegasus Galaxy and goes forth from there. Blistering hot with the animalistic natures of both men, and a great point of view for the narrator - I absolutely love it. Just what I needed tonight for a fic. Go check it out and enjoy.

First off, it's a fic that was written for hp_summersmut that is Snape/George. It's long and wonderful and very true to both characters in my opinion. It's also Deathly Hallows compliant, so if you haven't yet read the book and don't want to be spoiled, don't read it...

Next is a wonderful in character fic that is in the fandom of Once a Thief. It's how Vic and Mac might have gotten together and both guys are spot-on. Awesome job...seriously.

Finally, there is a long Numb3rs universe by penguingal and schnaucl which is Don/Charlie/Billy Cooper. For those of you who might not remember, Coop was a guest star are several episodes - he was Don's former partner in Fugitive Recovery. He's definitely hot and I love how the authors slowly bring all three of them together. You just have to love the hot porn and the angst over how they would actually work as a threesome... expect to get lost in the series for a day. I know that I did ;)

I haven't rec'd in a while. Work's been crazy-insane and my brain hasn't been at full capacity in...well, ever. But I do have a cool rec for y'all tonight that I just now finished reading. It's a very cool crossover of Harry Potter and Buffy the Vampire Slayer with pairings of Buffy/Giles - not my first choice of Buffy pairings, but I do enjoy it when it's done well - and Harry/Severus...do I need to expound on why I love this pairing? ;) I really enjoyed the tone of the fic - fun with bits of angst. It really fit into both universes pretty well for a crossover and I think it had a good grip on the Buffyisms and did a decent job with the Snape sarcasm. I enjoyed it a lot :) Something light and completely entertaining for your Thursday night!

Tonight's rec is *gasp* Harry Potter! It's a Harry/Draco AU fic that is just too amazing for words - seriously. It was written for Merry Smutmas (god, I love all these fic fests), and is basically about Draco as a Muggle DI and Harry as a PI. Snape is a ghost.... It's Harry Potter Dresden-style!!! :) It completely shouldn't work, but it so, so does. You'll love it! Go check it out... seriously. *waits for you to read and see the awesomeness*

There have been some seriously awesome fics bouncing around lately... and I thought my first rec would be one from the Yuletide.

It's a Live Free Die Hard slash fic, John/Matt, and I think it does a really good job of showing a slow buildup to a romantic/sexual relationship between the guys after the events of the movie. It's hot and funny and cute... Enjoy!

I have an interesting crossover as my next recommendation... I don't know how many of you remember the television shows from the 90s - Kindred: The Embraced, a Fox show that didn't last very long due to the fact the lead actor died after the first season, and Once a Thief, a Canadian show that was syndicated in the US about two thiefs and an ex-cop working for an all-powerful, classified Agency. Once a Thief was actually based off of a Hong Kong John Woo movie of the same name...

So, one crazy author who I stumbled across over Christmas wrote three different books crossing these fandoms... Slashing characters... and all sorts of other fun. It's a delightfully long series with nice plot and characterization and interspersed hotness...

For your Wednesday night rec, I'm doing something odd for me... I'm rec'ing a WIP. Something I absolutely love! I don't often find WIPs that pique my interest enough that I will periodically hound the author for more... or WIPs that actually draw me to really read *shrugs*

But this fic? Is amazing! Awesome premise and very cool crossover of The Truth About Demons (movie) crossed with Supernatural with a Dean/Harry Ballard pairing.

Now, for those of you who don't know (as I didn't know when I read this the first time), The Truth About Demons is a very quirky and interesting New Zealand film starring Karl Urban. His character, Henry Ballard, is a professor who studies the occult and cults. And who learns that demons truly do exist and goes a little crazy... the film is kinda odd with the pov and the dream-like sequences that are terrifying and seem both unreal and real at the same time. And then of course, there are the Winchester boys.

trishabooms does an awesome job of drawing you into the story and setting up the characters, explaining their circumstances without being a lecture and also just making you love and care about them... *sighs* I want MORE... *looks over at Trisha*
