Hey everyone!
We've been hanging around this community for a while and we finally wo-manned up and joined! To introduce ourselves, I'm Kit.
I'm Violet.
We have an account on fanfiction.net, under our The-Cursed-Daughter account, and we came here......
Well, just because.
We're totally new to this, and would really appreciate it if you guys would gives us some tips before we accidentally crash the site or something. For example, you know how all you experts link your journal entries to your posts? Feh, we have no idea how to pull that off.
So HELP, PLEASE! Anyway, we just finished reading the Da Vinci Code a few weeks ago, and we fell in love with Silas when we saw the movie. We also saw Angels and Demons- And Kit is currently in a battle of wits with our school secretary for the title of "I Read It First, In Your Face". Thanks Vi. Just a little about us: we're first generation Russian immigrants--our parents moved here from the former Soviet Union (Ukraine). We're fluent, but write in English. Vi and I are really close.....we thought we were related for a long time, and we live next door to each other. As far as writing, Kit is our writer-er, and I edit and test-read. Well, that's all! At the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands) Dr. Stijn Reijnders is doing research after The Da Vinci Code. We need interviews with people who have read the book and/or seen the movie and after that visited a location from the story of the Da Vinci Code. So if you've seen and expierenced these locations yourself, I would really like to ask you some questions about it on the phone. I don't know if this has already been posted before, so if it has please feel free to delete this post.
I was reading an interview with the band 'within temptation' the other day, when they spoke about their song 'Hand of Sorrow', it was apparently written about the one and only angelic Silas!
If you like gothic rock it's definantly one to listen to, the lyrics are really wonderful. I have posted them below under the cut.

I just wanted to plug the Silas-challenge that's currently running over at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) jenniferpaul_ic, maybe there are a few icon makers here who would be interested. We are a (small) icon contest community for Paul Bettany and his lovely wife Jennifer Connelly, and new members are always welcome. We definitely need more Silas icons for the running challenge... there's only one participant so far which is really sad. Silas deserves better, right? ;)

I've been stalking this community for a while, and I finally decided to make a LJ. To let you know a bit about myself, I am 23 and I live in California. To state the obvious, I am completely and utterly obsessed with Silas. My favourite slash pairing is Langdon/Silas... and there was a fanfic called "Second Sight" that was posted here a while ago and I must say that it was the best Langdon/Silas fic I'd ever read. The first one, to be exact. Ever since then, Id been totally hooked on the pairing and I've been avidly on the watch for more fics as good as that one. ;]
